Clattenburg (Update p59 - not selected next weekend)

Are we castigating Clattenburg for the winning goal also, or are we in agreement that this was the fault of the linesman?

Personally i dont blame Torres for going down, he got caught, he had no where to go.

But if lets say, any simulation would result in a 5 match ban ... i doubt he would of went down

5 match ban only if simulation is proven "beyond reasonable doubt". Torres would have got off on appeal imho, as he was definitely clipped by Evans and at that speed any clip can cause the player to go down - just ask Ashley "Tom Daley" Young!

It begs the question whether a player that is clipped is obliged to try to stay on his feet at all costs. Often they may be able to stay on their feet but in regaining their balance they could lose control of the ball, make a scoring chance more difficult. If they stay on their feet they end up losing out.
