Claudio Bravo - 2016/2017 performances (continued)

The usual witch hunt still going on, boring.

Well, the best manager in the world will certainly have to do what he believes in.
I am glad he is lining up and not the fanbase.
He has got the knowledge, he has got the best information available and a team of experts around him.

We won't win or lose this match because of our keeper. Both of them are good enough.
The panic on here is laughable again.

We wouldn't even have a problem about keepers if 95% of the "supporters" wouldn't be hunting their scapegoat for whatsoever.

But maybe you are just clever enough to take the focus and pressure away from our field players.
Bayern officials used to do that if the team was under pressure.
So just go on. I only hope Pep won't be fed up soon of not only working against tough opponents and strange ref decisions but - and he even doesn't know why - against the own "fanbase". Madness.
Yawn. Did you like it when David Brightwell played for us?

seems an odd time to do it, because there isn't a merited reason for him to come back in, unless a) Pep has got hung up on Willy's mistake for goal 1 against Monaco because he values passing over preventing goals or b) he's sticking 2 fingers up to the City fans because he didn't like the jeering in midweek and is going to risk our trophy hopes on the fact Bravo will prove some of us wrong, and Pep's prepared to stick it to us in the process.
Too much to think that Willy might have a knock or trained poorly?

Hm... So David Brightwell is all the reason for the way you are judging Claudio Bravo!
Why didn't you mention that before?

I thought we are talking about right or wrong keeping, Pep's way of playing football and about our best possible support to the club we love and the players under contract at the club we love.

Its the same old faces in one breath saying they want Bravo to succeed with us but as soon at there is any rumour that he might start, the knives are back out. Only on BM
Correct. There has been a nauseating jumping onto the bandwagon in the last week. Not rating Bravo and publicly saying is so is, it seems, suddenly old hat and worthy only of lesser blues.

Hmm, no. My point is that as "supporters" (your annoyingly superior quotation marks) we have every right to disapprove of Bravo being in goal. Just as we did as "supporters" when David Brightwell was playing in our defence

Whatever goes on on BM matters not one iota, as you well know. Rail against him, call him shit, call him anything you like but; people cheering when he catches the ball, booing when his name is announced and applauding when he picks it up really doesn't help.

I want both

Karen, the other day you had some honest words about yourself learning to understand Pep's way to play out from the back. Please go on trying to understand Pep's plan and have more faith in him.
He is exceptional. We shouldn't get him to the point of no return in terms of supporter's behaviour.
Generally I am asking for more faith and togetherness in this club.

You really think Guardiola has decided that he knows Bravo will cost city trophies but he's going to stick it to the fans, just to show them who's the boss?

I see we have a different view about supporting, that's ok.
Before I would insist on some kind of "right" (as a law? as a ticket buyer? as a club lover?) I would always start supporting the players on the pitch as I know what it means for them and what it can make happen.

And I am aware that I am missing a lot of information and logically have to trust the man in charge, who isn't supposed to be stupid.

But now, let's have a good match, enjoy it!

Bravo's problem is he replaced a crowd favourite , Joe bled Manchester City he always gave 100% was brave as a lion and has taken a few set backs on the chin and come back fighting , he was'nt the best keeper in the world but you could depend on him and was a passionate player who really liked our club and supporters. Now if Bravo had started well , and not gifted the Rags a goal on his debut he would have had a chance but his shot stopping since has been nothing short of diabolical , he might look great with the ball at his feet but perhaps he should concentrate on keeping the ball out of the net first , it's what goalies are paid for. Got nothing personal against Bravo , but he came with a big reputation and at the moment it looks misplaced.

I understand the distribution side now but he also has to be able to make saves,do both and i'm happy as larry

Thought he had a good game today which will have helped his confidence

I dont think he has any confidence whatsoever and without Stones and in particular Zabaleta he would have looked a complete clown today. His distribution improved in the 2nd half but other than that I thought it was as poor a performance as you can get from a keeper that keeps a clean sheet. He is arguably now at a point in his City career that Caballero faced prior to the League Cup final last year, its do or die. Whether he can step up to the plate in the way Willy did remains to be seen.

Good to see his defenders helping him out for a change, it's about time he had a bit of luck.

Absolute bollocks... Played well today, nothing like a clown, coming out twice to cover his defence when it came over the top, great save from the header which was going at some speed, distribution good again and a clean sheet. Do for me
