Claudio Bravo - 2016/2017 performances (continued)

He could have done better with the 2nd if he dives and didn't land on the same spot and actually reaches out fully,it's every game,i want him to launch himself at the ball, when has he made a save or got remotely close to one that is not straight at him? .Llores fucked up twice but made several saves to keep them in the game and get a point, bravo doesn't

If Bravo had performed like LLores did yesterday, do you honestly think he would be being praised for saving us points?

Surprised he's being called out for anything yesterday. I'm far from enamoured with him but he couldn't do anything about the two goals yesterday.

I used lloris to illistrate the saves he did make as keeping them in the game as that was who we played,i'd be mad if any of our keepers spilled the ball like he did

I agree here. Think he's confidence "looks" shot. And while he hasn't been at fault for much of anything the last few games, I'd probably consider benching him for a few games and giving him a reset opportunity.

Yep, we did the same with Joe on at least two occasions and it did him good. The only thing I'd say is that Hart was a fair few years younger and fully established as our number one whereas Bravo has had a tough time since joining and a large portion of our fans are evidently relishing the chance to pounce on him at every single opportunity. That being said, I'd still like to see Caballero given a decent chance.

I wasn't really aiming it at you Karen, but I suspect many would not have focused on the great saves Lloris made, but simply picked up on his gaffs

Whatever we think, once he is picked by Pep, we should all get behind him. Tbf, its very similar to how Willie was looked on originally until he had him Wembley moment. If Bravo is going through a crisis of self confidence the crowd on his back will make it much worse. I thought yesterday wouldn't it be nice to have a Bravo song and 50,000 belting it out to tell him we are supporting him. I'll bet he would have really appreciated that rather than the abuse he must hear. But then I am a bit of a happy clapper.
Good post mate.
If you're at the match and he's in the team, support him.
We would have a far better atmersphere if we reserved the slagging off for the opposition.

It kicked off near me in the Family Stand (!) because someone berated Bravo in the first half when Otamendi headed the ball out for a throw. Someone rightly took exception, saying "how the fuck was that Bravo's fault?!" and it escalated from there with the stewards getting involved. He seems to polarise the fans more than any player, with the possible exception of Sterling.

Fair comment and it's harsh on the lad that he should be a major talking point yesterday in particular. The problem is he's a cuckoo in the nest. Guardiola took a calculated (arguably cynical) decision to exile Hart. Had his man risen to the occasion, he would have got away with it. In the event, Bravo has been useless and hence the gamble has backfired.

Pep may well be the closest thing we have to a footballing god, but Mancs are a critical audience who look after "their own".

A string of good performances would still see Bravo out of the shit. Conversely, the longer the mediocrity continues, the longer this thread will grow.
