Regardless of who is in goal , who is better Willy or Joe ,or whatever, only one thing matters here, Pep doesn't really fancy either in goal and only his opinion matters .

Which means Hart will still be the backup, not the first choice

That could also mean that Joe would have to fight for his spot. I personally don't want Joe to go, but if Pep decides to sell him then there's nothing we could do about it.

I found this interesting from the Joe Hart thread;

just got some info from my mate last night. He works at city and he told me about stones and the shirt number day before etc. If peeps remember that post. He told me last night that hes been told not to make up or print any hart AND nasri shirts anymore for the store. Make up your own minds on that, but my mate had given me solid info before. I asked him again this morning and nothing has changed!

For me i hope hart stays and gets to grips etc. Again just passing info on.

It won't be a case of Joe fighting for his spot if Bravo comes. Or at least I'm pretty sure it won't. Here's why:
Bravo plays for the best club in the world. His only reason to want to leave is that he is regularly rotating with Ter Stegen, and both want to be first choice in every competition. He's said before that he's not happy about the situation. Why would he come to a smaller club if he didn't have assurances that he'd be #1? It doesn't fit.
Neither Hart or Bravo will be happy with second choice, and I doubt either would want to rotate between competitions. There is no way in hell we're buying Bravo to replace Caballero as second choice. I think we take Bravo for two or three seasons, and by the time he's done one of Gunn and Rulli will hopefully be the keeper Pep wants.
However, if Hart is willing to be professional, work hard and adapt, then I'd much rather we stuck with him. Gave him a season to see if he can adapt to Pep's style of playing, although at the age of almost 30, it's not easy for a goalkeeper to improve their passing and distribution by as much as Pep wants Joe to. His average pass completion last season was only 52%- not good enough for Pep. By comparison, Caballero managed over 80% completion yesterday. Neuer usually manages about 90%.

Would prefer Ter-Stegen with him being much younger and all, Bravo would need replacing again during or after the Pep era.

I don't think he's any better than Joe, and IMO anyone coming in to replace Joe should be a level above him.

I don't think there are many goalkeepers better than Joe in the world, especially not any that are available, so to be honest I'd be underwhelmed if we replaced him at all this summer.
Hart's an excellent keeper but not a sweeper keeper. Pep doesn't want a good keeper, he wants a sweeper. Bravo is a good sweeper keeper who is a good goal keeper and is very good with the ball and his passing, an extra feature which already puts him a level above for what Pep's system needs.

If Bravo comes, Hart will leave 100%. There are no ifs or maybes, he will leave, don't put yourself through the torture thinking otherwise. A bit of logic is needed here, why would Bravo leave the best club in the world to go to Man City if he was only going to compete with Hart for the number 1 spot when he wants to leave Barca to be the guaranteed number 1.

Bravo is a top 10, maybe top 5 keeper in world football. I'd prefer ter Stegen because of his age too but there's no reason even at 32 or 33 a goalie can't still play at his peak. Can keep him for a few years and bring in Geronimo.

Please no ! if we are really going to fuck Hart off at least get our first choice.

For me Joe should be our number 1 regardless of who we can go and get, i think it will be a huge mistake to let him go.
