Climate change has led to the formation of IS, haven't you lot been listening to Prince Charles?!
PMSL because that big eared **** knows what he's on about right?Climate change has led to the formation of IS, haven't you lot been listening to Prince Charles?!
Personally, I never use telly unless it is for the wii, a dvd or live sport. My electric usage is very low, and I don't use the heating (I'll put a jumper on) Selfishness is rife. That's something we have to get used to.What I'm also worried about is the carbon footprint caused by all the Green warriors who congregate to one specific area in protest.
Being dropped off in their Daddies range rover, temporary hippy clothes shipped over from Taiwan, emissions caused by all the dope smoking (and growing)
a lot of Electricity used by those hydro lights.
Seriously though, we're all guilty of over emitting, with our western lifestyles. but are we willing to change?
Cycle/walk rather than drive?
Live in tents with communal toilets/showers?
Only buy local and or grow your own food, chickens free roaming by your tent?
No no no, pluck that.... We want our shiny new black Friday HDTV, central heating on all day and the new company car every year.
We're just over polluting vermin and the sooner we're wiped off this planet the sooner the animal kingdom can be restored and flourish hopefully for a long time before Aliens have sex with monkeys again and Man develops capitalism.
Humans contribute 3.5% of all carbon released into the atmosphere each year, volcanos pump more into the atmosphere. Global warming maybe actually taking place but we have no control over it one way or the other.
Totally wrong. Not sure what your source for that is but I think your 3.5% relates to the amount extra that we're responsible for in the whole atmosphere. Doesn't sound much. But before we started burning fossil fuels the natural equilibrium between what the earth naturally creates through volcanoes/animals etc and absorbs back via vegetation (that had existed for millennia (proven from ice cores) was now gone.
From The US Geological Survey... http://hvo.wr.usgs.gov/volcanowatch/archive/2007/07_02_15.html
"Gas studies at volcanoes worldwide have helped volcanologists tally up a global volcanic CO2 budget in the same way that nations around the globe have cooperated to determine how much CO2 is released by human activity through the burning of fossil fuels. Our studies show that globally, volcanoes on land and under the sea release a total of about 200 million tonnes of CO2 annually.
This seems like a huge amount of CO2, but a visit to the U.S. Department of Energy's Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center (CDIAC) website (http://cdiac.ornl.gov/) helps anyone armed with a handheld calculator and a high school chemistry text put the volcanic CO2 tally into perspective. Because while 200 million tonnes of CO2 is large, the global fossil fuel CO2 emissions for 2003 tipped the scales at 26.8 billion tonnes. Thus, not only does volcanic CO2 not dwarf that of human activity, it actually comprises less than 1 percent of that value"
We're as guilty as a puppy sitting next to a pile of poo.
At last someone is talking sense!.the animal kingdom can be restored and flourish hopefully for a long time before Aliens have sex with monkeys again and Man develops
What's totally right?Totally right, you can feel as guilty as you like........I'm certainly not.
Woah! That's totally deep !What's totally right?
