Yes, although as already said climate is constantly changing, so the actual effect we have is probably unquantifiable.
Got to the point really where i'd scrap the whole fight against climate change. Forget it, it's a fight already lost anyway.
What we need is sustainability, if there is a huge climate shift, and the World falls apart, we need to have our own power supply, own food supply etc.
We need to protect ecosystems and biodiversity that provide us with key ecosystem services.
I really don't think the current exponential global population growth is sustainable, at least not without some serious changes and progress (we'd have to embrace GM crops for a start).
We need to make sure in the future that we can look after ourselves, might seems selfish, but if we can't look after ourselves then we're not going to be able to help others either.
It just so happens that what we'd need to do to achieve that sustainability is the same as what we'd need to do to fight climate change, problem is the public has been fed the wrong message and now think the whole thing is a con and unnecessary. It might be necessary, just not for the reason that has been publicised.
