Tom and Jerry, or Donald Duck?If the rumours and pics in the press are correct, I quite like the new badge. It reminds me of my childhood.

Tom and Jerry, or Donald Duck?
Yes that's right BUT doing what they have done has created a base or floor for the eyeline, the text doesn't flow properly. The words become unconnected which is weird. Maybe it's a symmetry thing.I think the City alone and straightened is intentional. Those of you who are calling it amateur design or wanting them to offset it with FC are missing the intention. All that white space and culling it down to just City were choices made -- they likely want the words Manchester and City to be highly visible and identifiable on the badge. It seems they want City in particular to stand out and didn't want it getting washed out by other words
I am not sure anyone is missing that intention. I knew immediately what they were trying to do—I (and many others more qualified to comment than I) just think it was a poor choice that creates unbalanced white space and a wandering eye.I think the City alone and straightened is intentional.
