I'm currently reading Richard Edghill's autobiography. This book, in addition to Paul Lake's, shows how truly shite we were ran for many years. Some of the stuff written would hardly be believable had we all not experienced it for ourselves.

You've only got to watch the board meeting in that 'City!' documentary from 1980 (that's available on Youtube) to see it in action. It's like observing a committee meeting at a Social Club.

There are parts of Manchester that have never been in Lancashire.

Which parts were not in Lancs? I never knew that

parts of south Manchester were Cheshire, the original area was all Lancashire it's when Manchester expanded that it brought in area's of Cheshire, however to be pedantic Manchester City have always come from the Lancastrian part.
