Don't like the ones with Navy in them.

Really don't want Navy in there. It's not a City colour, not matter what a few blues might say.

It should be in there IMO.

White and Sky Blue, and Black for any text.
Navy absolutely is a City colour. We've had navy socks for more of our history (nearly double the amount of time than sky socks which we've only had for about 40 years) than any other colour. 74 years of our entire club history we've had navy socks and that seems to just be forgotten by the club who never get a kit with navy socks anymore.

The most common kit we've had is:
Shirts- sky blue with white trim
Shorts- white
Socks- navy

That colour combination is unique. Zenit, Lazio, Celta Vigo, Coventry... are all sky-white-sky or sky-sky-sky making us stand out from other sky blue clubs.

That doesn't mean it has to be in the badge of course but it is certainly a City colour.

Great post [emoji106]

And the next question has to be if we go back to a retro circular badge does it go back to the middle of the shirt ?

Like most, I think that is a stunning badge, but it looks incredibly boring on the shirt compared to the current one.

let the football be the interesting bit the badge just needs to look smart, cool and manc, that does the present one is ok but the classic is better, think the fact the retro range sells well has been noticed by the club, also you see lots of the pin badges people wear are the old badge or the shield only ones

just got the participation e-mail so lets have a look see what's on offer

Edit, you get a choice of colours, and symbols from the coat of arms and present badge along with an overall design template (round, shield, eagle shape etc)

Me and the boy have just took part, i managed to sweet talk him round to the beauty of the badge we had until 97

Manchester grew into a major city out of the industrian revolution and the cotton trade the boat is a reference to the world wide trade in goods from that trade and commerce, also the 3rd (right) flag should always face opposite the left and middle flag, the bees on a globe represent the industrial and busy labour force and the shield is a reference to the first duchy of Manchester, but also now used to represent the rivers in more modern times
I always thought it was the Manchester Ship canal and it's importance to Manchester. An inland port we made (well the Irish dug)

Anyone else notice the glaring omission of the St. Marks cross in the new consultation which is now live?

:(

Sure, many views are that it's in the past, move on etc... But the same could be said about the Coat of Arms and
all the other symbols which were displayed in the consultation.

A large proportion of symbols were relevant to the COA though so it does seem like the club want a Round badge
which heavily focusses on the COA, representing the area significantly.

The only football team to come from Manchester... ooooooh Man' City :D

I'm sure its something to do with the fact it could be seen as a religious symbol. The club will want to stay away from anything that'll be seen as controversial.

Speaking of that....i reckon FC United will try and play a few dirty tricks if/when we get our new rounded badge. They will claim its copied theirs.

Just completed it.

No mention of wording and style of lettering.

Told them Manchester City Football Club, and not MCFC.

Circular, ship, 3 rivers, St Marks Cross, City Blue, White, Black, possible gold, and Manchester City Football Club.

No Red Rose, Bee, MCFC, Red, etc.
