Club Badge (merged)

Given our current performance perhaps a different badge is needed











The above took me ages to create, I went with a white round badge, a white shield and even includes a white dragon. Oh and the words in white as well. I thought about some white stars but think that's a bit much.

I feel it's fitting and sums up our approach to achieving anything this season

At the moment replace the ship on the Manchester Ship Canal with the Titanic!

wont do Gorton Crosses now as they look like Iron Crosses when done in a dark colour ....

Wow those designs are brilliant, Golden eagle looks amazing in design 1, the design and colour of the eagle works perfectly.
Think the ship may look best in Navy though in design 1; this would allow the eagle to be main focus and also draws attention to the ship latterly as the second entity.

I love the last design also, thanks very much for creating these.

Would love the top design with navy ship to be our new badge

Good efforts mate but I still hate them (no offence , your designs have been excellent!). It's still got a problem that we have with the current badge - they're too busy.

At least your eagle doesn't look like it's deepthroating a banana like the current one does but I just like the less cluttered, cleaner badges you've done previously with just the circle and the shield.

One of the main reasons I've banged on about changing the badge on here and in emails to the club over the past five years or so (sent them about five emails saying how I hate the current badge and mentioned it on here for ages) is that there's too many things going on.

The simpler the better.

I thought the same mate, but the club did say it would let Cityzens know before anyone else so if was being unveiled in the morning I'd have expected us to have had an email Sunday night.

They say the eagle represents Manchester's link with ancient Rome.. but then again you can say that about any city in europe
 
I think the fact the badge wasn't unveiled on Sky today means we're not going to see it until February now.

They'll want to cash in this xmas selling stuff with the eagle badge. If we released the new one before xmas they'll get inundated with people asking for stuff with the new badge.

January they'll probably heavily discount everything to get rid of it and then probably unveil the new badge in February or even later.

The problem with this is that the final design for next years kit will need to be with the manucturers by now. We run the risk of the badge getting leaked by the manufacturer if we leave the big unveil until February, which I'm sure the club are desperate to avoid.

For that reason I'd expect us to still have the eagle badge next season.

it'll be whenever they decide to, don't waste your time trying to predict when.

it's Nike, they already have the kits made, all they do is walk into an Indonesian warehouse, pick up random boxes of sky blue, navy and some random colour shirts, sew on the badge and bob your uncle, ... next season's kits.

I know mate. But why would they need the new badge design now as some have said? even if we send it to them in March they will have months to sew the badges to the shirts
