Club Brugge (A) - CL - Post-Match Thread

Obviously you have better chances in the Knock out stages playing against the 2nd spot teams. For example would you rather play Bayern or Barca/Benfica ?

Depends though, look at Real's group for example. Plus depends where English teams finish too as that severely impacts on the likelihood of who we draw.

Fabulous performance tonight from the blues. Very tough place to go they've got big scalps this season and in Europe in previous years.
Some of our football tonight was sensational!
We didn't give them a kick, Total dominance from start to finish basically everybody had a good game very hard to pick out one standout player when that were all good on the night. Would of liked to see Sterling pit his chances away to get some confidence back.

Always pleased when Walker gets a goal, guy adds a lot to the team. Can have momentary lapses of concentration and known to give away the odd needless penalty, but overall he's been a fantastic signing. Not many better RB's around in the sport.
Have to say, Walker is a fucking baller. Another player that Pep has helped turn into a superstar.

We would destroy any team in Real's group. Also , a team that finishes 2nd is obviously struggling

- What a performance. Just absolute control from front to back.

- Is...Kev back to his best??

- Minutes in Gundo's legs, a rest in Bernie's!

- Nice to see Cole Palmer recover from his "soul crushing" performance at the weekend. What a well taken goal as well.

- Penalties? No problem, mate. I was amused the commentary were surprised Mahrez took it, have they not watched us for 18 months??

- How good is Foden?

- When we play like this it makes you wonder if we actually do need this number 9. Players popping up everywhere, liquid total football.

- Grealish wasn't the best player on the pitch, but he's settling in very nicely. Looks better every game. The ball leading up to Palmer's goal was excellent.

- What does Sterling need to do to get his goal (apart from actually kick the ball towards the goal).
Could not have summed it up better.
