Club Brugge (A) - CL - Post-Match Thread

I should enjoy our magnificence in its own right but I do admit that I get even more delight from knowing that there will be united fans out there, watching that game, hoping for a Bruges win and ending up wondering how the fuck they are so far behind us in every aspect of the game.
I watched it in a boozer in south Manchester. Would have loved to have gone but my new job mixed up my start date.
There was a table of ‘cant get a ticket’ #TopReds who cheered every miss and refereeing outrage.
As soon as the second went in they drank up and fucked off sharpish, with jeers and a chorus of ‘Ole at the wheel’ ringing in their ears

Aso another example of Grealish being quietly brilliant and allowing other players to come into the game more - he doesn't get big figures in this team but he's a brilliant foil for others. Considering he spent years being the big fish at Villa, he does the dirty work so willingly.
It's so exciting to watch him very quickly adapt to his new role which is partly to have players come to him so he can make space for others who might have the spotlight more but wouldn't have it without his hard work. I thought it was a very quietly impressive, mature and tactically astute performance tonight, fair play to him.

Chorlton?

Lovely goal by Palmer, not to disimilar to one of his hat trick goals the other night.

A great performance all round I thought and being on holiday I didn't go in the match thread and watched the game on an iPad so couldn't hear the commentry very clear.

Thoroughly enjoyed it tbh
