Club Statement (confirmed that Mancini sacked)

I just think its a case of Mancini succeeding in the league far too early
Going into the CL as 'Champions of England' brings nothing but expectation in such a competition
I do not think it is any excuse though for Mancini as once you have won such a title...you should push on.
The style of football this season has been IDENTICAL to the season before last..with dull, drab home games - despite gaining 3 points in the majority of games
Too Many draws.. seems too many times we have risked nothing, and won nothing

Wigan played with Balls on Saturday, not just with guile and grace as they always do
The performance of McManaman proved this... he did what his manager asked him to do.. risk the loss in order to be fresh and get at us time after time on the front foot and in turn they won

We risked nothing and got exactly nothing
Now..tonight..we have taken a risk and its just impossible to state whats going to happen

We could however see an unstoppable side over the next year or so, I do have a part of me that thinks Mancini sets us out with the hand brake on a tad...not firmly...but just a tad

Either way...to do it on the 13th of may is just Typical city...something we thought had gone forever..we're asking for trouble and comedy pointed at our fans by doing this tonight.

Rags or 12 year old girls. Has to be one of the two.

I hope you get the sack tomorrow too. Rich irony. Maybe some of us don't like seeing anyone treated like a piece of shit the way this club has done to Mancini. You think he gives a toss about the size of his severance package ? Fuck off. He's already a multi-millionaire. It's more to do with the way it's been done than the decision to replace him itself.

This is football.

I've conceded it's been handled badly but the way a lot of people are reacting is both embarrassing as fuck and deeply disturbing.

As for hoping I get the sack, if that's all you've got to occupy your mind then please yourself, fill your boots.

It was a rhetorical point. I've got no idea if you're employed, self-employed or retired or whatever. Why can't fans express their deep concern and regret over the way another of our managers have been sacked ? Especially one who has brought success and style to our club ? He's popular with the fans so why wouldn't some of us be disappointed over the way this has been handled. Tomorrow it could be me or you getting our P45. Wouldn't be nice whoever it happened to.

Who hired Mancini?
Who fired Mancini?

That's right. Thank you Sheikh Mansour.

sad to see him go. espcially withiut having the chance to enjoy a farewell from fans in the stadium. that was the least we could grant him

on the other note:

does that mean tranfer window is put on hold until new manager is appointed?

No... targets identified and I think 3 of them are nearing completion so will be here around July so plenty of time for Pellegrini to bed in and work with them.

which tends to suggest we will be having a manager with no meaningful say in transfers, which is not a model I can think of which has ever brought consistent success in this country

Typical RAG

Get a grip you fucking tool.

I've seen enough sacked managers to not piss my knickers on a day like today.

Haha. Nice one.

what a joke

so if pelligreni doesnt win the league he gets sacked and then the next manager

Mancini wins the league last season and gets sacked. The club have treated him like shit and been completley disrespectful. We cant win everything every year, no team can. United didnt win the league last season, but did they sack ferguson, no they stuck by him.

Forza Mancini

what a bunch of fucking drama queens.

Do you honestly think the club could of handled this any other way? Do you honestly think they spread the rumours on Friday? They were slaughtered for allowing Hughes to manage the game when the world knew he was sacked. Now they do the opposite and your acting like Robbie left Take That before the end of the tour.

Protests against our board? The board that dragged us out of the shit and gave us the premier league within 5 years? The board that bought us Robinho, Tevez and Aguero?

Have a look at yourselves. We were laughing at the rags for this kind of faux grief and self pity the other day.

Not just a sad day for MCFC but a sad day for football , we have treated RM exactly the same as Chelsea did with diMatteo , they both fulfilled their supporters dreams and they have both been removed from their jobs , against the wishes of the majority of the clubs supporters.
The new breed of shallow gloryhunting supporters wants success at any cost , personally I would like a bit of loyalty and continuity maybe even a bit of patience . We have just got rid of the best manager at Manchester City since Joe Mercer and I couldn't pay RM a higher compliment.

Thank you Mancini for the best moments in football during my life time.

But it has been clear this season something isn't right with the team, Mancini has to carry the can for this. I think it is fairly clear he struggles to maintain relationships with players and I would guess that his fall out with Kompany after he played during the internal break will have had a huge impact on the group, as Kompany is the leader of that group.

This is football, it might turn out to be the best thing to ever happen to our club or it my not. Either way most of us will still be blues tomorrow and beyond.

Support the team and not individuals you will only be disappointed otherwise.

Andrea Mancini, Roberto's son, now wading into it. "Money can't buy class, show some respect for the manager that made you win after 44yrs."
He's got a big mouth. Takes after his dad
