And so the era of changing manager every season or two commences...very sad indeed.

Oh hang on...we have just reverted to type.

Cheers Bobby for the memories.

Just wanted to say how shocked and disgusted to hear Mancini has been sacked. It makes no sense as Man City have had a pretty good season. Yet more evidence that today's football richest owners use these clubs as toys and show contempt for managers and fans.

Mancini done a great job at City. Last season's finale when you beat us in Fergie time to win the Pemiership was one of the all time great matches. You could see the passion written all over Mancini's face when you scored the winning goal and the after match celebrations.

I feel sorry for the Man City fans to see another manager go. But this is football now. It's all about winning trophies and money and nothing else.

Good luck Mancini and thanks for everything you have done for the club. You bring winning mentality to the team you make the team stronger. Hope you well in your future career.

The pressure is now on Sor and Beg to get the next appointment right.

No matter how our team lines up next season if the manager and results fall below the standard now required both will be looking for new jobs.

What happened last summer?

"No, I do not want to go to Manchester."

"Why not?"

"I cannot play for that man."

No. No. No. It was everyone and everything BUT him. He wore a scarf. He had nice hair. Tevez was simultaneously brain-dead and Mensa material, cunning, cunning Tevez. Even nice Vincent has been brought to the foot of the scaffold.

You do understand that when targeted players refuse to move for personal reasons, they aren't always what are assumed.

Now then, did you all see the way Fergies lads were looking at him the other day after the match? Did you watch them closely? They love him. Fatty snapper Anderson, Camel, Stan, Ginger Prick, Clunk-Click, Quato,... the lot of them. As unbelievable as it may seem, they were hanging on his every word. What did he say to them, "Never let yourselves down" and he praised them. In front of all those rags he praised them all. He meant it, and they knew he meant it.

Outstanding comments

No chance in hell their jobs are depending on new manager and his results.. they are brought to reorganize the club from up to down and vice versa and will have years to do it.

Go follow Chelsea.
how are we like Chelsea?! Mancini has been here longer than any of Chelsea's managers under RA!

We're headed in the same direction with this pathetic decision.

Mangers doesn't win trophies - Sack him
Manager wins trophies - Sack him anyway

Should they beat Benfica then they won everything that there is to win. Premier League, F.A Cup, Champions League.

I don't think Roman gives a fuck what anybody thinks of him for sacking managers all the time. At least he's got the balls to do it and he's been successful by doing so.

You make a lot of sense but Mancini was sacked entirely due to his management style. He had no relationship with the players whatsoever. That is disaster waiting to happen. Shame.
