Wish it could be possible for us to play england in a game, we’d fuckin destroy them :) the waistcoat could then learn from the master

I come from a very small country that is remarkably shit at football. In order to have a good football career the players can't stay in this league. So everyone kinda pulls together for the national team as there are no rival players to hate or any good club football but of course people aren't overly interested as the team sucks. There's just so long you can tolerate another 0-0 against some other minnow and losing 5-0 to any half decent team. The stadium is only full when a big international team visits.

I support City more as there is no real hope of international team achieveing anything but if my country produced some remarkable golden generation I think it would become top. Even getting to a world cup for my country would be nothing short of a miracle and I'm sure people can understand the kind of emotion that would bring.
What country would that be ahaha?

As my country excels in snatching humiliation from the jaws of defeat, it is my club all day long, I can’t go an hour without something about my team being processed in my head. However, I do like watching the national side sometimes and have been to a right few games in the past.

When I was young we had some great players, still did fuck all mind, but we had good players. Until the Euros, we hadn’t qualified for a tournament since 98, you probably noticed. So in those years, you tend to adopt the mindset of the song, We’re Shite and we know we are. I would love us to start producing better players in sufficient numbers to be able to put a team out. Right now we don’t have a single striker who is worth a fuck. No wingers and a couple of defenders who are pitiful. You can see where I am going with this.

You have to learn to protect yourself from it bothering you too much. It still pisses me off, but I cope. I have no choice.

I would love to support our National team but we are playing such crap football when we have a team that could be playing much, much better. Until we get a better manager instead of a blue eyed boy I will not be bothering. I will still watch them in the WC in the hope that we play well but, at the moment, that seems unlikely.

You got a TV in the bog....kudos brother.

International football has changed a lot in the years since I was a nipper (See my username) it's lost its romance, it's mundane and it does appear that caps flow like confetti.
Like the Champions League is watered down and diluted by having non Champions in it and endless meaningless group stage games, international football has gone the same way too.
Back in your user name day, to qualify for the World or European Nations Cup it was groups of 4 teams so you played 6 games.
The break up of the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia - plus the ridiculous inclusion of San Marino and Gibraltar etc etc has meant more international games, a great number of which are dead rubbers.
It is saturation point simply to fill UEFA / FIFA coffers
