Maybe coffee drinkers are insecure and need to display their love of the drink more.

I think it's more Brits, although brought up on tea, have discovered that coffee is the nectar of the Gods and tea is just, well, brown hot water.

And in Somerset tea is “just, well brown hot water“ full of limescale.
I do miss that lovely Manchester soft water but tea was still shite.
