Coldest/worst weather at a City match

Boro away. It was that cold we stayed on the concourse drinking (lie. We stopped at York on the way and we didn't even feel anything by the time we got to Boro. In fact, we didn't actually make it into the stands!)

Any game at Oldham wins hands down though. Even in the pre-season friendly the other year they had the undersoil heating on!

Oldham in around 1990 when Megson scored the winner. Fucking freezing.

If I remember it right wasn't it Megsons debut as well? I think the only reason it was on was because Owdham still had their plastic pitch then??

The abandoned ipswich game,as wet as you can get. Wba away midweek when kinkladze scored for a one nil win,so cold i couldnt move.

Yeah I was at that abandoned Ipswich game in the League cup .
Pissed it down all evening .
A match we're I had frozen feet was the Bolton match in December 2010 .
I think Owen Coyle was still in his shorts that day !!!

My two nominations were both at Oldham. The first was the late 80s and it was actually mid summer, maybe late August. It was hot and we were all in shirts and t shirts. A thunderstorm hit at about 2.55pm and everyone was drenched through to the skin on that open end.

The second was about 2005 in the FA cup under Keegan. Maybe I'd underdressed, I don't know, but I just remember shivering my way through the most miserable game with a northerly wind blowing right into everyone's face.

Haha was at that game I think ? Megson debut and winning goal...Slipped up and down the hill...was soaked.

The Fulham game a couple of seasons ago probably my funniest moment ever at the football when the fourth official held the board up with 4 mins on.
The whole ground to a person spontaneously burst into " we want to go home,we,re fuckin freezing,we want to go home.
Then most burst out laughing and carried on singing ,absolutely brilliant improvisation

Remember city playing Norwich and I was sat in the gene Kelly, February 2000 I've never been that cold in my life! An ice cold wind howled through all game, we left when our second went in, I couldn't straighten my back, I remember walking down the steps like Quasimodo

Salzburg. The Alan match. -10 that night, the only match I ever left before time. I'd lost all sensation below the knee!

This one was the coldest followed by the Fulham game.

Worst weather was the Sunderland game that was cancelled an hour before kick off due to high winds. Good job it was because it took me 3 hours to get home from Preston and I would have missed it.
