The Kids have to be good enough. Obviously Foden and Rico are, the club didn't think so with Palmer. Success over Academy all day. Football is a business at the end of the day.

Good enough to warm the bench, not to start. That's why he'll try his luck elsewhere. Chelsea is a strange choice.

Then he should have stayed and fought for his place in the starting 11. Instead he decided to go to Chelsea where he may (or may not) be part of the first 11 but regardless will get paid a great deal more.
