Cole Palmer

He’s hardly played, exactly why Palmer wanted to go because he was only getting minutes Nunes has got. Which player are you leaving out for Palmer to get minutes he wanted?
He’s had 1,209 minutes. At times this season, we’ve played players out of position and out of form, and we’ve also had more injuries to contend with, a situation exacerbated by players returning earlier than was perhaps prudent. It’s an academic discussion in terms of Palmer, granted, but one would hope that it now feeds into discussions over other players’ futures.

Not really, players like Lewis or Bobb will be introduced into the team as Pep sees fit. Players will either accept that challenge like Foden did, or not like Sancho and Palmer didn’t.
Any that don’t want to stay and take on the challenge, like Palmer, won’t stay and will have a decent career elsewhere.

Perhaps, but I’d read it slightly differently. Signing seasoned professionals is all well and good if they challenge for first-team starts, but when all they do is lengthen the squad list and stymie the development of academy prospects, then I’m less convinced in the merit.

But, but, but he’s 11th in the league.
Kalvin is 7th.
Do the knee jerkers want him back too?
This lad Pep seems to know what he’s doing, especially when a player says he wants to go. Maybe we should trust his judgement…….

Guys, be honest.

Guardiola did not give Palmer the opportunity.
That's the reality.
Palmer is probably one of those players who thrives best under complete confidence.

Other players are capable of growing under hard work, taking advantage of playing five minutes today, ten minutes next month, a whole game in the six next weeks (dropper mode)... being patient and mentally strong.

So you're saying he's mentally weak?

Besides, you're a Barcelona fan so who gives a shit about your opinion?

You have to give city some credit in how we deal with players! Because city Pep knew how good palmer was but palmer didn't want to hang around be patient, so what did we do? Not tell him your staying here you have 3 years left of your contract(25k a week) you will get minutes soon! No we said find a club willing to meet our fee and we let you go..
