He’s not got it between the ears to be a truly top player.Palmer needs to get used to playing games with a player following him around the pitch everywhere he goes like De Bruyne has over the years.
Partey and Casemiro have been his shadow in the last two weeks and he’s not really been able to find a way to shine out of it.
That’s where we’ll see if he really is a top player in the next few years.
He’s supremely skilful and has wonderful balance and dribbling.
What he doesn’t have is in game nous. It’s all vibes and probably always will be.
