Cole Palmer

Way more than potential Kaz... anyone who played the game could see the kid was special - he was a standout at junior int'l level for YEARS...lots of experienced FA coaches recognised that as well as our amazing academy coaches (Wilcox etc) ....it was clear to me and others that every time he played you could say something very valuable..his scanning way before the ball arrives, body position...touch like water that knowledge of where to take the spin off, pace off etc... all of that was clearly evident AND to me that's more than just potential.. but i was moaning on here the day i heard we were selling him.. I thought we could build a team around him in years to come...mind you I really rat Callum Doyle as well, great vision..just that yard of pace lacking that niggles me..Lavia...well he was another one really..i know we develop and sell but im not sure that's the best policy...we sell better players than we buy in!!!

Except Pep?

He scored two penalties. It wasn't exactly a world class performance.
He was superb all the way through the game

We don't make many mistakes as a club, but letting Palmer go without a fight is now looking like a huge one... and I bet Pep privately admits it too

I think some fans need to realise that it's ok to admit that we can make mistakes and will do again

I didn’t say world class performance. He was good today though and has been brilliant this season. Scoring pretty much every penalty is a skill as well, that barely anyone else can do.

Would have to disagree with that. The cracks were already evident in the spring, we knew that most players would play throughout the summer, and we thought we could paper over them by bringing back someone who would turn thirty-four in a couple of months.
Gundy wasnt brought back to play every game , there was also no reason to think he would struggle given he was one of the best players in spain last year

We should have thought more seriously about buying. back up for rodders but who wants to come here that is good enough but wont sit on the bench all the time . Kova was good enough and experienced enough to fill in . We couldnt have forseen rodders being out for a year or everyone getting injured at the same time. It is easy to say pep and the club have fucked up but none of us know what goes into managing a top club

You seems so miserable and full of regret your sarcasm radar isn't working.

I'll leave you to wallow.
Bit of an exaggeration that lol. I’ll join all the other city fans who think the same. I reckon pep and the club probably have some regret as well.

You keep reading this thread mate and hope everyone agrees with you.
