Colin Bell RIP - Ian Cheeseman interview with Jon Bell (P142)

RIP absolute legend. Totally heartbroken for his family and the City family for this loss.

@twosips just seen your tribute to Colin on YT. Couldn't have said it better mate. Thank you

Thank you mate. I just wish I could have watched him play!

He was my hero as child and one of the reasons I became a City fan in 1966. Met him once at a corporate and was too overawed to get any sensible words out. Colin was a true legend and an icon and a truly magnificent player. I was privileged to watch most of his matches for us. RIP the King

Had it and it was on loop, i wanted to know everything about them as a young lad and this was my window into how it felt to watch greatness.... if we’re all honest, until sheikh Mansour I don’t think any of us felt a realistic chance of seeing this again, that’s why we have to love every minute of it as we never know when it’s gone again...
Bloody great video that.
Think you can still see it.on YouTube.

Very sad - Childhood hero - lucky enough to meet him many years ago at my Company’s Box (people I work for not mine !!!) which itself was a strange day as I had my own season ticket.Came in with Peter Barns (another great) and chatted over lunch. Had a great discussion with him and Peter about their playing days. City legend and one of the best to wear the shirt!
