Colonoscopy

They patched mine like an old bicycle tyre was how they described it. If that hadn't worked were going to remove the damaged bit and attach 2 ends together In HDU for 2 weeks and off work for 3 months.
Wow, glad it got sorted for you.

I was only in for 10 nights. only missed 1 city game too.

Wish I’d have been in a coma for the first few days after the op though!

Nobody else had an ileostomy? I had to have part of my bowel cut away and presently wear a stoma bag.

It’s never quite sunk in exactly how ill I really was.

Had 32cms of my bowel removed back in 2014 due to a blockage. Never been diagnosed with anything even though I’ve had nomourous tests. As many has said a colonoscopy isn’t as bad as you think. Defo worth getting checked out

I've had both. Glad to say not the same camera.
Down the throat worse. Imagine swallowing a hosepipe.
And then once it's down in the guts you can feel it turning round.
Just look forward to it being pulled out.
Yep. Awful stuff.

I tried to be hard and say my gag reflex was non existent. I was wrong.

So just got done with the colonoscopy. Nothing serious. They found 2 tiny rectal polyps and internal hemmorroids. I asked the doctor if they are cancerous and he said no. They have sent it for biopsy but he also said he is 99.99% sure its not precancerous. I am wondering how could he tell? Anyone have any info?

There are varied types of polyps ( based on what I had removed ), if it’s looking like they were caused by inflammation then they are usually sure but still get them checked anyways.

Glad it went well.
