We had more of a first XI/experienced team out there than they did, Tevez and Aguero were the only ones missing, and Tevez may not even be here next season.
They had no Hernandez, Valencia, Fletcher and no Vidic, Ferdinand, Carrick for the second half
(they had all gone off when we were up 2-0!) And Berbatov only came on in the 80th odd minute?
They had players like Cleverley, Jones, Smalling, Evans, Anderson, Welbeck out there..
We can hardly say we had a weakened team out there against the best in the league.
As much as it pains me to say we have to admit today we got taught a lesson in winning mentality, take it, use it to our advantage, move on and prepare for next week when the real stuff starts.
