Comparing Speeches: Clinton Vs Obama

Bigga, they are going to take this women and have her on all of the magazine covers (especially ones that cater to the stay at home mom) and talk about how she secretly likes "Sex in the City", her favorite recipes, her garden, her favorite places to shop, etc.etc. I'm not trying to sound sexist but you wait and see. There is about to be a massive PR campaign surrounding this women (who I know F all about) and it is going to be aimed right towards the security mommies, the ones who would have voted for Hillary but are unsure about Obama. And its all going to revolve around "protecting our homeland!" and scare tactics. Get ready for a battle.

Tried staying up for Obamas but fell asleep before it began.

Clinton is a superb orator, he had the audience eating out his hands and the way one blond was looking at him (which the cameras enjoyed focusing on her) maybe left her a little damp.

I was worried about the elaborate set they had for Baraks speech which may work against him, when i saw it i thought "he thinks it's in the bag the cocky get" and maybe a few floaters may have thought the same.

Yeah,I clocked the blonde too,mat.
I guess she was close, but no cigar!

PRESIDENT CLINTON OF THE USA.

Is an anagram of

TO COPULATE HE FINDS INTERNS

On the McCain issue, a very shrewd piece of decision making today. He's announced his running mate, and therefore vice president should he win, will be 44 year old Governer of Alaska Sarah Palin. The fact that she's very young, and female, is clearly aimed at trying to take attention away from Obama, and also away from McCain's age.
Two can play the same game I guess.

And here's the other thing. This shows how desperate the Republican strategy is, that it has

a) NO ONE in their ranks that have appeal to the public

b) Not truly thought about what would happen if McCain actually crocked it. This would leave a TOTALLY inexperienced person in control of America.

Now, I'm aware of what I'm saying and I'm using the fact that if Obama got 'popped', at least the Democrats have Biden. The Republicans have Palin.

Not exactly the same, is it?

Would blue collar working racial America really choose McCain/ Palin?

And Biden vs. Palin in a debate? Wow, that'll be interesting.

Do you dislike all black people BT? Not having a dig mate, just something that's becoming apparent from your recent posts and I'm curious.

Without wishing to sound cynical (but this is politics so EVERYTHING is cynical) Palin is a pretty attractive young woman, so that will appeal. She's also the mother of a child with downs syndrome. Now don't tell me that isn't going to be used to bolster her health care credentials as well as her mothering abilities. Elections are very rarely won or lost on actual policies, it's all about image and 'selling the product'. She's a decent product, wrapped in attractive packaging.

Nah, he likes Micahel Jackson...................eh?

I don't know anything about her but I bet they play up that:

1) She has "humble" middle class origins

2) She's a Washington outsider who doesn't always walk the party line and can offer a unique perspective on Washington affairs

3) Oil and access to drilling in Alaska

4) Strong family values.......yadda,yadda,yadda

I wasnt having a dig, each to his own and all that. Every man is free to believe what ever he wants to believe. Although if you bring MJ into the equation it get's a little weirder!

On the face of it, it looks a very astute move, but...

She has VERY little time to get herself known to the American public, in whole truth. Where the intention is, she will hog the magazine covers, the Democrats will surely counter this with Michelle and Hillary doing covers of their own, possibly unifying on covers.

This could fall flat for the Republicans on the debate side and the intergrity of the appointment. She's never been mentioned before, after all. When you think about the fact, Clinton is not Obama's running mate, what would McCain've done, if she was?

I think they scrabbled around a fair bit, with the options they had and have took a HIGH risk gamble here.

Maybe, JUST maybe the American public will see past this...

* edit. In fact, I'd like to add that this is the most fascinating race I'd ever witnessed. It's like watching chess, because there's been nothing but moves and counter measures.

History making versus history making stuff on both parts.

My goodness!

She's a Republican Dream, isn't she?

Having a son about to travel to Iraq, in Sept? Wow. You couldn't make that sh*t up... or could you?

I just feel she's a pawn in the Game.

I'll have to listen to her speech again, more intently later, as I'm a bit busy cooking now!

Jesus, just ran out for my lunch break. The radio shows are already talking about how hot she is and how she was a former pageant contestant, how she was a sports columnist and her kid with downs.

All nice and dandy but she's also a republican isnt she? So she probably wants to kill us all anyway, simple I know but bare bones says Republicans = Evil.

its a bold, risky move... and one i hope that will become moot as hilary campaigns for obama and regains the female lost voters that mccain is hoping palin will draw
