Complaint to BBC regarding Pete the Badge

Getting back to Peter, I started bringing my son to games when he was 8 and he used to go into the EA pod to play on the games. Peter would speak to him and ask him how to play. He'd speak to him with stories about City. My son now nearly 16 has become quite fond of him through our Etihad visits, about 6 a season. According to my son he told him he has Aspergers, and travels to games from down south, thought it was London but could well be Milton Keynes as others have said, sure he said he'd lived in Blackpool. Whatever he's a great bloke, fan and deserves respect, not to have the piss taken in a cyber bullying bbc, or anbody else, post.

Spoken to him at Piccadilly a couple of times and he's a lovely chap. He said he was living down South and traveling to the matches. Great dedication, loyal blue and a kind fella who has time for everyone, salt of the Earth.

Pete is such a nice nice man im disgusted by the BBC. Me and the Old Man have season tickets in Colin Bell right near to Pete, he is an inspiration as a blue and he is apart of matchday for me seeing him. We as a club have to do something, its out of order and they are lowest of the low to do this..

City as a club should be giving Pete an honourary season ticket every year free of charge for his dedication.

Disgraceful. I've sent my complaint too. We really should refuse to do MotD interviews with them until an apology on their programme is forthcoming. It's basically cyber bullying by the national broadcaster.

Well done Prestwich Blue for bringing it up, writing a brilliant email and getting a quick response. Hopefully it will stay at that level and not be given to Kloss to deal with.

Full Complaint: I wish to complain in the strongest terms about the Match of the Day tweet which I have attached a screenshot.

This tweet was posted with the intention of mocking a lifelong football supporter who has put more into football than your pathetically biased programme ever will. This gentleman follows City all over the country and it does not take a genius to work out that he has some social difficulties and to be mocked led by your official Twitter feed is a disgrace.

To further go on a call him "Bertie" which as the idiot who posted this knows full well is a disparaging term for Man City fans is contemptible.

Please forward me the details of how to make a formal complaint to the Director General as I am fully aware that this complaint will receive little, or any, attention and will receive, if I am lucky little more that a generic response.

Thoroughly disgusted with the BBC today.

My complaint to the fuckwits:

The derogatory referencing of an MCFC fan named Pete as 'Bertie'
The term 'Bertie' is an insulting name to give a life long City fan, and is yet another example of the biased, snide anti MCFC attitude of the BBC.
The term 'Bertie ' or Bitter Bertie' would obviously only be used by a supporter of a rival club in Manchester and its use degrades the impartiality of the corporation.
I would very much doubt the BBC would post similar photos of other clubs fans with the use of similarly offensive terms like 'rag' or 'bin dipper'.
I think the post is beneath the BBC.

I think that's the most I've ever said without swearing. I'm gonna have a lie down.

The point that the BBC would never put 'Rag' or 'Bin Dipper' really does highlight how out of order they were here.

Its great so many are complaining to the BBC and sticking up for Pete. He doesn’t deserve the mocking that the BBC social media guy was obviously trying to get directed at Pete with the post.

I really do wish the club would take a stance on this. Give the BBC nothing in terms of access apart from the absolute must. No interviews, send Arteta to post match and not Pep after games, ban them from the training complex if possible, ignore their questions in Peps pressers. Reward those who give us fair and balanced press and fuck those that don't. I've no doubt we won't do anything, but as long as we just keep taking it then they will not change their bias towards us.

According to Media City in Salford they have around 2,700 employees, the odds are there must be a Blue there who knows what goes on in the sports section.
