I'm still following your progress and its good to see someone pushing and putting effort into actual getting some answers out of the joke that is the Premier League governing bodies.

i guess if thats their policy then rags/spuds would complain if out of the blue they acted against their stated policy.

As much as they state that they have the power to act, i imagine the FA need a reason to act. maybe that reason could be provided media pressure.

On the face of it all an ‘offending’ club has to do, if ‘found out’, is to agree a level of consideration with the ‘victim’ club to avoid an investigation by you – it is only when the amount of consideration cannot be agreed upon that the rule can be activated. Only then could you in theory launch an investigation because no matter what, you say you will not act unless you receive an official complaint from a member club.

That you are not prepared to uphold your own rules, due to an unpublished and off-record agreement between you and the clubs. And that as a consequence, you are not prepared to stand up for the rights of clubs and their supporters that play by the rules in relation to rule K3

It was an absolute corker, thanks for that one!

And it was an analogy I could use, unlike one suggestion where it was said that it was like the Metropolitan Police saying that they would only be able to investigate claims of unlawful killing in the de Menezes case if there was a complaint from the injured party. I winced at that one.
