conn having a dig again

A couple of posters mentioned that BluessinceHydeRoad's earlier post deserved being published somewhere. So, with his permission, here it is -

Good show LT. Be interesting to see if it attracts any comments from other teams' fans.

And well deserved.
BluesinceHydeRoad is the most knowledgable poster on the forum - bar none.

Excellent read and so very true, someone should send it to Conn, he's a dinosaur

He responded on Twitter last night to a few Blues. At first understandably defensive and quite decent about it all.

But it wasnt long before his real thoughts on the matter predictably came through -

"A bit strange though, that when singing Sheikh Mansour's praises at the end, the writer doesn't even mention money spent."

To which a Blue called Standing Alone replied -

"Do you mean the money spent on improving the club, the facilities, the regeneration, subsidising ticket prices?"

David's response -

"Yes, & the vast millions spent signing and paying up to £200,000 a week to the players you watched on Sunday."

I know he's a lifelong City fan who feels disillusioned and distanced from the club he once loved due to the money but that is such a raggy comment!

For me, Conn is on a par with that other self-loathing clown who has leeched a living out of our club Colin Shindler.
Mired in a past that was barren and bleak, yet looking back through sepia, rose-tinted glasses of nostalgia - hankering for a bygone age when everything was so simple - the three day week, mass unemployment, football violence and City being shit.
And then those nasty Arabs came and ruined their little parade with all that nasty oil money.
There is a big fuck off elephant in the room regarding their bitter resentment, and it's called religion.
I wouldn't even stock their bitter bile in the club shop if I were City.
They are a fucking embarrassment to our club, and frankly I wish they supported someone else.

That would be those world class players who played in a brilliant match on a brilliant day which I shared with my family and friends. A day which has had me on a high ever since, not for the first or last time.
