Cook - They Bottled It

this is from ss website...........

"Manchester City chief executive Garry Cook has engaged in discussions with Kaka's advisors on a night when AC Milan supporters lined the streets to protest a potential sale.

Passions in the Italian city are running high as the Rossoneri faithful made clear their vehement opposition to the proposed exit of the San Siro's favourite son.

Sky Sports News understands Cook met Kaka's father Bosco Leite to discuss a transfer that would net Milan over £100million and the player a weekly wage in the region of £500,000.

Earlier on Monday it had been reported Milan club president and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi met with club vice-president Adriano Galliani to discuss the implications of any such deal.
Over 1,000 supporters, who are critical of the club and not the player, converged outside Milan's headquarters during the early evening before moving on to Kaka's exclusive compound where he resides.

The Milan supporters proceeded to chant songs, pleading with the Brazilian to stay. Kaka responded by coming out on to his balcony and waving to his fans."

no mention of milan officials, cook and kakas father meeting together.

again , i may be wrong and if so , apologies
This is a DIRECT quote from Cook, on City's Offical Siet:-

"We were confined to a room, with no food or drink, and we asked some questions of the football club and more importantly we asked some questions of the representatives of the player and they simple could not answer the questions."

So AC Milan were indeed represented at the meeting, which would mean it wasn't the time or the place to discuss Kaka's personal terms. In fact the presence of AC Milan officials would seem to indicate that an offer hadn't been accepted.

I'm saying I'd be more inclined to believe our own Chief Executive rather than a TV network. Cook was actually in the room with these people, Sky at best have spoken to someone who knows someone who knows something.

For fucks sake will everybody stop laying into OUR FOOTBALL CLUB-what the fuck do we know about running a multi million pound turnover company. If its not Hughes's fault then its Cook's fault-why cant we just admit we got shafted off a club with perhaps the most corrupt league in Europe.

Hats off to Cook for coming out and defending OUR club.

But where have they got it from? Even Kaka said we never discussed personal terms and Milan didn't ever accept a bid. His comments seem much nearer ours. The comments on the SSN site come from Milan.
