They offer £35m.

We want £50m.

He is on 250k a week.

That makes £12m a year.

We don't get £50m, we keep him and force him to stay.

As much as he is a dick off the pitch, on it he will give his all.

This time next year sell for £35m.

Simples

See the thing is though... if we force him to stay now, I do not believe he will give his all on the pitch anymore... I really don't. Besides he will be poison in the dressing room and during training, especially if keeping him means he will also remain Captain.

Take the money and let him go City!

From BBC Sport

Brazilian club Corinthians make a £35m (40m euro) bid for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez - but the offer it likely to be rejected.

The way I see it, in business you dont take the 1st offer. they offer 40m Euro's on 1st offer, second offer likley to be 45m Euro's which is the Aguero buy out figure.

I cant see us not taking 45m.

Time is on our side for this one, Brazils transfer window closes in 10 ( or is it 9 now? ) days, I think they will make a second offer quickly.

let him go to corinthians city. he will be out of the way of the champions league and he would be moving closer to his family. if he does move to brasil will people accept that he left for good reasons? i would

It will mean he moved for good reasons if he drops his salary, signs for 3 years and then the fee can be 50 to 55 million which is realistic. Lets be honest he doesnt need a big salary anymore does he. surely if he wants to be with his family its time to man up

It makes me sad that the rest of the footballing world will be looking at this news and laughing at City because they don't know the insides of the whole Tevez saga.

They will think that we are losing the Tevez battle when, in fact, this is a bonus - and profit don't forget - for City. We're losing a player who doesn't want to be here and getting £40m+ for him. I'm sad but it's fair enough.

McNulty saying early indications that the offer isn't good enough for us.

We should be looking at first option on their best youths for the next x years or something.

Hate to say this but City are stupid if they think they will get a better offer.

40m + 250k/week off the books... that is a very good deal for us.

Agreed and presumably it is just buying the clubs a bit of time to do the deal as opposed to having a media scrum like Fab to Barca and Nasri to us/scum etc.

Personally, get rid for £40m and build a clause in that should he be sold to a European club within the next 5 years we receive a further £10m. We can then re-invest the money, save £250k wages per week and get rid of someone who, whilst giving 100% on the pitch, isnt exactly a team player in the dressing room (by all accounts)
