Corinthians make 35 million bid for tevez (MERGED)

Firstly those people saying things like bight their hands off, good ridance etc etc etc..those people are just giving utd another reason to keep calling us "bitter"...as thats what these people are.....Tevez has been a revelation for this club and has been extremely improtant in gettig us where we are.....the vast majority of his performances since being at the club have been fantastic

so for that I say thank you carlos...you go with my best wished

secondly....those saying we are fine without getting another forward in......that balo and dzeko are good enough or even just enough.....wrong.....

Dzeko has so far proved absolutely nothing in this league......he was average at best in his first half season......yes he may improve given time and this season will be a big season for him......BUT on current performances to date...he isnt fit to lace tevez's boots...those saying dzeko will be the man.....you may be right...but equally you could be very wide of the mark and he may be a complete failure..... i dont want to take that chance

balo - a complete enigma.....looks a genius in the making, has the potential to be one of the very best -BUT will he achieve that or will his very questionable temprament hold him back...He did look to have settled down in the last bit of the season (but at that time he also stopped scoring!) - agina it is a huge risk to tak a chance on him

Therefore we DEFINATELY MUST HAVE A REPLACEMENT.......and one that can fill the void that tevez will leave is going to be very hard to get........

Aguero as virtually everyone says is an obvious candidate but it isnt as simple as some wwho are saying "go get Kun"....there will be other attactive teams out for him....chelski, real madrid and even maybe utd...so there willbe competition

eto'o has already said he wants to stay where he is.....

after those two there is virtually noone else that is either available (Villa has already said he has no interest in leavig barca) or anywhere even close to the same level as tevez

hulk is another option but again as with any player from outside the prem it would be a huge risk

I just pray that firstly RM is going after aguero and none of the other stated targets in the media and secondly that we get him. I really hope that Dzeko and balo live upto their full potential/billing by others as Im not convinced certainly that dzeko has enough to propell us to the heights that tevez has

Fabregas is worth considerably more than £35m in the current market place.

But Arsenal won't get it and neither will we for Carlos.

Anything close to £40m would be an absolute brilliant piece of business.

It's also very cute by the Tevez camp, the Brazilian transfer deadline is nearing and knew City would be presented with a major decision.

As for Brazil and what they can afford. Their economy is absolutely booming.

its a win win situation for all camps concerning this deal!

not an ideal selling price but it helps with so many scenarios!

I accept the Carroll thing he is a lot younger and was bought on deadline day but am I allowed to use Torres fee, Villa's fee or Agueros asking price as a comparison?
No, because the point is that such comparisons are irrelevant. Tevez's worth is what a team is willing to pay for him. We can hold out for £50m if we want, but we won't get it. Teams wanted Torres, Villa and Aguero, and that's what determined their value. But no one in Europe is currently interested in Tevez. We can say we think he's worth £50m all we want, but until someone stumps up that amount, he isn't.

they only got those fees because they held out
We're going round in circles here!!

Ok, let's hold out and see what happens. But i'll bet you now that no bid of more than £40m will be submitted because no team thinks he's actually worth that much.

OK, someone has to ask... any updates on incoming players tolmie? Particularly Nasri and Aguero?

Yep, I think it's stupid to say that 'We can hold out for £50m if we want, but we won't get it. Teams wanted Torres, Villa and Aguero, and that's what determined their value. But no one in Europe is currently interested in Tevez'. Pretty much every club in Europe would want Tevez. Only a few could possibly offer something worthwhile for him but let's just wait and see for now. Madrid are the ones to watch for me

We are not bitter Simon mate we are grateful for his effort on the pitch, this isn't knee jerk bitter rage.

Most of us are pissed for the way he talked about the city, and the fact all his moaning and lies have built up to where we feel the pros are outweighed by the cons.

We didnt make him lie when he said he was with his family to sort stuff out.
When he was in Tenerife partying.
Nor did he have to say what he did about manchester, especially not the manner he did. Then you have his cheating which created this issue.
The rest all adds up to to make most have the attitude of...

"Thanks Carlos but time to go you troublesome ingrate"

No real malice now, we just want him gone, only at the right price though.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, however isn't it the case that Kia's company (MSI..?) has some form of ownership relationship with Corinthians?

If so it could well be the case that this is a convenient way of moving him onto another European club with a tidy little profit in it for Kia.

At £50m and £250k a week? We'll have to agree to disagree then.

A deal with Corinthians would suit both parties in so many ways. If it's true, this is the one I see happening.

Would anything surprise us where this turd is involved
