Guessing SNP have the majority in Scotland so Nicola will consult with them and they all agree they will vote it through, so she then accounces it.

The national Parliaments may also have passed something saying they can do that by announcement.

In England, it still should be announced in Parliament first, and that needs Parliament to sit.

Parliament wasn't supposed to be sitting until next week.

Johnson promised a vote on any national lockdown.

So I think that tells you broadly what's coming tonight.

It was only 24 hrs ago he was in the Marr show saying schools are safe.

What would the difference be between Tier 4 and full lockdown?
I’d imagine it’ll be similar to what we had in April. Schools closed, people told to work from home, only allowed to exercise once a day.

Don’t think we’ll have masses of people out for picnics this time so we might have more success this time.

Also taken from Sky News website: “A tightening of measures could deliver a further blow to the aviation industry by banning people from travelling abroad altogether - but sources in government say this is not likely to happen.”

Fed up of aviation lobbyists kneecapping the country.

Probably nothing till Thursday then.

Announcement tonight, vote Weds, implement Thurs I guess.

Though they may implement some things immediately.

Schools are going to close regardless, it's just not possible to keep them open. Same as March overtaken by events and following rather than leading.
