Tedious for you and many others I'm sure, but mine and hundreds of thousands of other jobs rest on the answer to that first question.

The company I work for, a small independent agency in the Midlands with 15 branches, was valued at £4m in January 2020.

It's now worth nothing.

And this isn't a business that was struggling or stagnated; the company had almost doubled in size the last 5 years due to their success.

So yes, tedious for you, tedious for most, but for some it's our careers and livelihoods.

I'm glad no answers were given (if it was asked) because in reality it's impossible to answer accurately at the moment, but don't discredit an entire industry by saying we don't deserve an answer.

When the picture becomes clearer, we absolutely do need and deserve an answer.
My mother works at the airport, her job is on the line too. The reason it’s tedious is because they’ll not get an answer to it, so it’s a wasted question, not because the jobs that involve holidays don’t matter.

Let me guess the questions-

“when can we go on holiday?”

“can we book a wedding now?”

or some other tedious shite that will never get an answer because it doesn’t deserve one.

To be fair I'd quite like to know when I can get married. It's literally not even possible even at a registry office right now and im gonna have to pay a shit tonne more as well when I can finally get hitched. Would be good to know if they have a roadmap or not. Can imagine the whole industry is shitting it too. I'm not moaning, but I certainly get why people want to know. Certainly no harm in asking givne the science stuff has been covered.

Which are the ways that AZ outperforms Pfizer? If it's reducing transmission, that's great, but you can't really blame people for still feeling less safe individually.
Pretty sure the AZ CEO only reiterated last week that it protects virtually 100% against serious illness which is surely the most important factor. Reduced transmission another bonus

Not to mention all the venues, caterers, florists, limousine hire businesses, dj’s musicians etc, etc that all depend on weddings and events for their businesses.

I get that, but what else is there to ask after all the science and vax updates?

Johnson specifically said he'd give his plans on Monday - prior coverage had varied between "22nd" and "week of 22nd", but he definitely said Monday.

I think this is the main point that should be remembered.
No vaccine is 100% effective against getting the virus.
However something that has a very very high chance of stopping serious illness is clearly better than waiting for one that will do much the same.

Must admit, I find my crossing my fingers that my parents are offered the Pfizer one when its their turn. I can't be alone in sharing similar views re their own families.

Honestly, I don't care at all.

Either is miles better than nothing, and whilst I would agree the Pfizer data looks a little bit better, it's really in the noise in the scheme of things.

It's a bit like having the choice between them getting a lift in a Ford or a BMW when you thought they were going to have to walk in the rain. Sure you might prefer the beemer, but you'd happily them have either.

I care if there is a difference in effectiveness against the E484K variants. I wish they would clarify that point because all the current concern seems to focus on this variant and potential vaccine evasion.
