Wales data:

14 deaths - was 27 last week

290 cases - was 410 last week

Positivity 3.1% - was 3.8% last week.

Weekly Pop Score 84 - down from 86 yesterday and 107 last week

More really good news from Wales. That Pop Score has fallen from 500 to 84 in 6 weeks.

The Pop Score measures cases week to week smoothing out the ups and downs from day to day counts. That is why it is significant.

84 is much better than almost every borough in the North West. Even Trafford.

Scotland update:

57 deaths - was 48 last week

685 cases - was 830 last week

3.8% positivity - was 4.0% last week

1261 in hospital - down 56 in day - was 1499 last week

95 ventilated - down 4 in day - was 107 last week

Deaths aside being up that is more good falls in patients and cases

My wife is classed as vunerable and I have been caring for her both in late 50s and haven't heard a peep. Rang the gp and told don't ring us again you'll be notified as they are all out doing vaccinations got on website and couldn't get anywhere
Have you rang 119 ? Spoke to them yesterday about someone with underlying health conditions, they were very helpful.

Nicola Sturgeon adds they have now offered vaccinations (she used THAT word!) to 100% of all over 70, and care home residents and health care workers and those with clinical vulnerability. (Though noting the take up was over 99% in most categories).

They have also vaccinated 69% of those aged 65 to 69.

I agree with this Nellie's left peg - it would certainly do no harm to ask. In your position if still a carer even given that age I would too.

But via your local GP who knows that you are in this position unlike a list you might not be on that someone might read from at the end of a phone line. You can emphasise the risk as a carer and your GP will understand why that matters from your personal circumstances.

They can probably stress that to those doing the call outs and add you to that list. Whereas GPs afaik cannot just do it on their own. They get notified you are in the next batch due more or less when you do but probably can tell the right people if they think you have been left behind.
