Zoe App regions 24 Feb 2021.png

This is the Zoe App regional graph they created today showing how all parts of the UK are reporting.

It shows the slowing of the fall and plateau but no real sign of any rise.

Regionally the North West is seen to have peaked around 18/19 Jan (the day England hospital deaths did and a day or so after hospital numbers did) - which is slightly later than the other regions but was at a much lower level than London and other southern regions.

They had further to fall and did so faster which may explain why NW is still a little up now as its down curve is shallower.

The app though does not show the NW as having more cases as the day to day testing is doing - NW was the only region in the UK to be still above 1000 cases yesterday. Though it fell by the most in one day - over 700.

This might suggest more testing is being focused in the NW than elsewhere and finding a higher percentage of the cases than regions testing less. Or it is a day or two ahead of the daily testing picture which will be like this later this week from the testing.

Otherwise this graph matches well what we are seeing and is overall pretty good news.

Fucking dead right, I’ll get mine in a few weeks or so I reckon, my lad won’t be offered his for months (24) you going to tell me I can go to the match or the pub and he won’t be allowed just because he’s not had it offered yet? Utter farce to even suggest it.
True, but the example referred to is a decision made by Greece, not the UK, and that's Greece's right who they let in to be fair. I suspect our government - as much maligned as they have been during this pandemic - will only implement any possible decisions of their own regarding vaccine passports or whatnot after every adult in the country has been offered the jab.

looks like they might want to hold the Euro 2020 final (July 11th 2021) perhaps using the NHS App to prove you had a vaccine

i dunno.

The young have sacrificed their freedoms to protect the lives of vulnerable people.

Vulnerable people who have been vaccinated should then have to sacrifice their freedoms in return to allow for everyone else to to get their jab.

No way should they be allowed to travel if the young aren’t, just because they’ve been vaccinated before them.
You're literally talking about a couple of months to wait after May once everyone has been offered the jab so is this really a big issue? "Look at all those OAP's buggering off on their jollies in May when I won't be allowed to go until July! It's so not fair!"

Zoe app yesterday predicted 9651 cases in UK and we got 8489

Today it predicts 9684.

For those who do not know - Zoe app records people reporting to them with Covid symptoms across large numbers in the UK day to day and creates maps of where most people think they might have Covid from these symptoms but may not yet have tested positive.

So it is educated guesstimation and potentially a day or so ahead of the actual numbers.

Not predictive other than broadly but often a good guide and is rarely very far out
Where are you able to see the number of cases? They release it online somewhere? or do you need the app?

Cheers

If you were in the 2nd year of Uni when this began, you’ve effectively had to pay all the tuition fees, whilst having your uni experience cut in half. You’ve not been able to go on group holidays, you’ve not been able to go out on the piss, you’ve not been able to shag around.. you’ve sacrificed 18 months of the best time of your lives to protect vulnerable people.

So now it’s fair for Diabetic Dave, who’s been jabbed up because he’s unhealthy and in his 60’s, to head off on holiday in May whilst the people who have sacrificed so much have to wait for 3 more months when hopefully they’ll have had their first jab, whilst still having to wait for their 2nd before they can do anything?
What, like when they all went back to uni in September, loads caught Covid, and then spread it like fuck while they were out on the lash?

The notion that we should feel more sorry for younger people in this pandemic than any other age group is the most laughable thing I've ever heard. Fuck that. Firstly, they've got many years ahead of them when normality returns whereas someone in their 80s hasn't. Secondly, while there are Covidiots across all ages I wouldn't mind betting that a larger percentage of 18-25 year olds have ridden roughshod over the guidelines than 60-70 year olds.

I agree with that mate, just like yellow fever for example.
I dont think it’s fair though to have passports for pubs, cinemas etc when not everyone will have been offered a vaccine.
