They said yesterday there would be an update today and conclusion Thursday.

I mean, any organisation sticking to what they've promised is unusual, but not entirely unbelievable.

I thought they'd said they would announce a decision today.

Seems utterly ridiculous when the WHO say it's fine.

That is a ridiculous statement when you think about it. lol
I can imagine the poor technicians tasked to work on this.

Manager: We need you to prove whether the AZ jab is causing these blood clots.
Technician: No problem. We'll let you know when we have the data in a year.
Manager: We need it by close of business Wednesday because we have to make an announcement.
Technician: Do you want definitive proof or just a wild stab in the dark?

Cue: Mission Impossible theme.

The ONS data had an interesting feature in its report on the fall of deaths. Apparently the number who died WITH Covid but determined to have died FROM Covid fell from 90.2% at the peak of this wave (when we had nearly 40,000 in UK hospitals in January) to just 80% in the latest data out today (to 5 March).
Less than 1 in 10 NHS hospital beds are now occupied by Covid patients

Almost a year on since the first lockdown wbat a strange shit year. But this Italy 3rd wave new lockdown is giving me de ja vu
