If you don't see a problem with it then you're already too far gone mate.

It's not necessarily what the one certificate says (although any repurcussions from having/not having one are tantamount to discrimination), it's the potential for abuse it carries.

The government have seen exactly what they can get away with in terms of directly impacting your civil liberties, and if you think a government will simply give up that power then you're delusional.

Today you're getting asked for a vaccination certificate, tomorrow you're getting asked for your papers.

I suppose you're the kind of person that is ok with people's emails being accessed, conversations being recorded etc. on the basis that 'nothing to worry about if you've nothing to hide?'

Haven’t seen it mentioned, so apologies if it has, but it states now quite clearly that the national booking site is open to people 50+, they’ve officially changed it.

I got a local Superdrug Chemist 1st June. I put it on my appointment card.

Of course they can. Governments can and do enforce laws for entry/permissions let alone individual companies and institutions. There are millions of buildings that won't let you in without some kind of permit/identification etc. There are countries that won't ley you in unless proof of inoculation. Some places have a dress code for entry.

Vaccine passports/proof of identity are nothing new, only the scale.

Precisely, people who object to this clearly don't realise the requirements already in place for everyday entry and travel.

And although not directly related, if you are concerned about infringements and intrusions into your private life the first thing you should do is throw away your smart phone.

As someone who has been shielding for over a year i'd be ecstatic. Even if i can't go out to think of all those selfless, intelligent people who took the vaccine for not just their benefit but also everyone else's being able to safely enjoy themselves would be a great boost.

Like you, I guess, I’ve just popped my details in (I had 1st jab yesterday) and it brought up appts at beginning of June so I assume it knew I’d had 1st and was offering me dates for 2nd. I haven’t bothered booking as I’m happy to wait to be invited so I can get it at my local centre in Rammy, interesting nonetheless.

Him being able to resume some sort of normality in his life but selfish individuals like you want to put a spanner into the works because you know best.

It asked for my postcode and gave me a list of local vaccination centres to choose from so perhaps you can book your local centre? Anyway thanks for the heads up.
