How will people who have been vaccinated feel about being around others (e.g. Family members they don't live with) who haven't been vaccinated?

I’m suggesting that not working for a year is very different to getting your full salary for a year. That isn’t to say that the scientists are necessarily acting out of self interest but there in all history I cannot recall a single instance of following the ‘precautionary principle’ based on the worst case scenario, at all times.
You also seem to be suggesting that there is a single science and a single truth, and that’s just not what science is.

This pandemic, especially in terms of context, is unique. Comparing it to other pandemics is not quite comparing apples with apples. Maybe we should have followed the Brazilian approach. It is noticeable that those countries that took a precautionary approach, have handled things better.

I am not suggesting that there is a single truth. However, there is pretty much a general consensus among leading scientists and scientific organisations on what the best approaches are.

I’ll look at them in a different light as they fail to understand that they’re putting themselves, me and others at greater risk of getting ill or dying or increasing the risk of the virus mutating. It’s their choice not to have it, but it’s my choice to think they’re a ****.

Would you stop non-vaccinated people from visiting you at home?

Within my family, my Mother has Lupus (an immune system disease) so we are the sort of family who have the flu jab every year, never mind the Covid jab.

Within my group of mates we’ve got a lad who’s had a kidney transplant and a mate who’s got one lung. We’ve nearly all been sensible around this from the start. Most of us haven’t seen each other since February last year!

There was one mate from our extended mate group who saw me in the queue at the supermarket before Christmas and started blabbering on lecturing about me wearing a mask and covid being a hoax, only for his Dad to die of Covid after Christmas and he soon shut the fuck up.

At work, everyone’s been really strict and really sensible about Covid throughout. Work with a couple of people who have cancer.

I’m not sure any of my close family mates or workmates wouldn’t have the jab. Hypothetically speaking, I wouldn’t let them in, no, because of my Mother and mates who this could have the biggest effect on.

So according to the SAGE report from earlier, they’re suggesting we still need to socially distance at the same time as now next year at a minimum. I really hand on heart don’t understand what is going on at minute. Why is this needed ? What exactly changes next year that won’t be already done this year when we’ve competed our vaccine rollout ? So essentially nothing but long term social restrictions are good enough to keep this at bay ? I really feel like giving up. Seemingly nothing is good enough that doesn’t involve social restrictions. I’m fucking tired of existing like this, it’s just horrible when we’re supposed to start getting really positive about changing developments.

Because not everyone will have had the vaccine. The people refusing are doing so at their own choice but are also affecting things like this for everyone else. Also other countries may still be struggling with Covid as they’ve had even greater refusal to have the vaccine, so anyone coming back from abroad will need to quarantine but also may still spread the virus as it survives on surfaces for 28+ days and it could be a new variant.
