Not sure I understand why the distancing aspect is glossed over when it comes to hospitality. Rule of 6 seems to be applied with no distancing.
Guidance says maintain distance but law only prevents more than 6 being together.
result = 6 different households mixing.
Difficult to maintain social distancing when having a meal with friends/family at the same table.

Seeing the videos in London and Manchester of people out on the streets enjoying themselves, all the bars hammered was great. Really cheered me up, even if I am stuck in work.

That said the traffic though, grim, took that part of lockdown for granted!

Correct. It’s inconsistent though as the guidance says 2m or 1m if cannot but Witt other measures (eg. Mask).
This seems to be lost with hospitality.
Pub gardens full of groups of 6 mixing.
If that is allowed I don’t see why we are still unable to see family indoors.

Links to Bonnie Greer talking up a 4th wave on Twitter today.

If lots of people are reckless then we will get another wave, although the vaccination roll out will, hopefully,!reduce the scale of any possible further wave. It is good that people have been able to go out and enjoy themselves in beer gardens and I think a lot of people will have a session or 2 and the novelty will wear off, thus helping to manage the risk.

I heard on the radio that the South African variant is being found in South London and hopefully test, trace and isolate works to help to prevent an outbreak spreading.

Lots of positive coverage on Radio 5 Live this morning about businesses reopening and the vaccine target for vulnerable groups being achieved ahead of schedule.

Simply because the virus is much more likely to be transmissable indoors than outdoors. I find it hard to believe that over a year into this pandemic people still dont know this.

Been on NHS website this morning to attempt to book vaccine for the Mrs who is 46.

Put in correct age.

Success!

Might be worth trying for 45-50 year olds as by the time they announce you can book I think it's actually been possible for a short time before the announcement.
Cheers, saw this and did the same for next Monday at the Etihad. Good availability up until Monday then seems to be a gap for almost 2 weeks when they maybe only have enough for second doses?
