I’m quite glad to see many others on here feeling the same as I’ve felt since last nights press conference. Completely at the end of my tether. My mother died in March. One person was allowed with her in the hospice at the end. 16 people at the funeral. My son in Madrid hasnt seen her for almost 2 years. But we accepted that, as we assumed others were making similar sacrifices. I assumed that travel abroad being banned meant just that. But when I see on the news, British nationals visiting India to go to funerals and visit sick relatives, which has now resulted in this current mess, it makes me so angry. Completely avoidable if we had shut the borders.

I was discussing the other day about compliance for further restrictions once people have been jabbed, I just can’t see it happening. People will (and rightly so) want some normality back.

I’ll be visiting friends and family etc once we’re at that point.

@Indaparkside - Mate, if the US think that being double jabbed is good enough to be given the green light for life back then I don’t see why we shouldn’t feel the same and be granted the same freedom. Of course we will still be as careful as possible within reason but do you really think we shouldn’t have gone round to a mate‘s house to watch the game when in 48 hours it’s pretty much allowed etc.

Anyone else thinking of quickly booking some last minute time off work for the next few weeks when we know for sure* that things will be open?
