England out of hospital always reported separately and last of all. Presumably as there are the ost by far of all the nations.

At weekends and bank holidays almost none are reported so they can build up like the hospital ones do sadly.

Yes, I had expected three figures. They are coping pretty well in Scotland I agree.

1985 cases (was 2134 last week)

At 33% positive.

So total deaths without England out of hospital is 831.

Last week it was 556. And became 981 after all settings England added.

Hence my fear we will top 1000 today.

Because it was a generic question, I could easily ask how many countries are doing as bad as we are? Not many if any

It might be because we don’t have integrated health and social care in England, so there could be more to collecting the figures. Linked to that, traditionally, the authorities have paid independent care homes and GP Practices for providing data in England.

Yes, I had expected three figures. They are coping pretty well in Scotland I agree.

Could be that Scotland managed to lock down sufficiently just before the new variant could take hold; restricting travel in from England may have helped suppress its movement.
Might also mean that it is only working its way through the community more slowly, which could lead to problems arising later.
