Ive not really been keeping tabs on covid for a while, been great actually, are the deaths now beginning to creep up again? I just saw there were quite a few yesterday

Scotland data

BIG JUMP BACK UP FROM PAST FEW DAYS SADLY

FEAR NORTH WEST WILL DO THE SAME

5 deaths - was 3 last week

3799 cases - was 3887 last week

10.0% positive - was 9.8% last week

387 patients - up 41 in the past day - was 235 last week

34 ventilated icu - up 2 in past day - was 19 last week

The hospital numbers are starting to escalate as inevitable from recent big case numbers.

ENGLAND HOSPITAL DEATHS

These too are now affirming without doubt deaths are rising and I am starting to think we will see a 100 death day here in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

29 with 10 from the North West. Last week it was 13 with 3 and week before 11 with 6.

I've been respectful and waited until the old and vulnerable have been vaccinated and the Government has given the go ahead for restrictions to be lifted. I've done everything people have asked, played by the rules and got vaccinated twice.

I didn't see a doctor no, it was like a conveyer belt and sat with a nurse for about 30 seconds.
All I see about and for a long time is the oldish Folk , if people want to hide away and not live there life but everyone I know had enough , I seen my mates once since this happened, we missed out on loads having a young family

Then people get on the high horse about it our average deaths are way down at the minute too

MORE ON ENGLND HOSPITAL DEATHS

That is 61 in 48 hours from the two weekend catch up days - v last week 33 - almost doubled. And most of the other regions beyond NW are only just starting to see what will be weeks of deaths there as their patient numbers rise.

Hard to see this staying below 100 peak now I am afraid. As weeks of rising numbers are still to come probably, If we are only a third of cases if that estimate of 100 K peak is accurate then we are going to see three figure deaths or just fall short it seems as they may not peak before middle or end of August.

absolutely no need to apologise whatsoever you are a great poster.

society has been turned on it’s head with Covid.

the young sacrificing so much to protect the old And vulnerable, it used to be the other way round,

there comes a point where people have to get on with their lives, my parents don’t want their grandkids lives and schooling fucked up anymore to protect them. sensible precautions with personal responsibility is needed.

I am just making the point the vulnerable can manage and work out their own risks as they have always done. Eg No pub for me to watch the game tonight but my family will watch it together with friends we see regularly at their house.
Good luck in your treatment

ENGLAND HOSPITAL DEATHS IN DETAIL:

3 East, 3 London, 6 Midlands, 2 NE & Yorkshire, 10 North West, 3 South East, 2 South West

The NW deaths were:- 1 Bolton, 1 East Lancashire, 2 Manchester, 1 Pennine Acute, 1 Warrington, 3 Wirral, 1 Wigan

The ages of the 29 were:- 0 - 19 (1) (second young as in child or teenager death in past few days note) 40 - 59 (9) (this is rising too), 60 - 79 (8) and 80 PLUS (11) - so 10 under 60 v 19 over. This split is getting more even.

That's a very bad forecast, not the accuracy of it but the possibility, it's quite scary.
