or how many hospitalisations and deaths there are of the double vaccinated.
or how other countries are approaching the same decision.
I have praised Sturgeon in the past about her clarity of communication re Covid. Don't feel that at all just now.
It’s obviously a suck it and see policy. I guess all we can do individually is decide how much we want to interact during the huge spike it’s likely to create.

that is their policy. 'its down to the individual'
Thats fine as long as they give you truthful information to base your decisions on.

Will there be a point in the future when you get covid and just carry on as normal with no isolations and just go to a work and shopping etc as normal?

Absolutely, which given we don’t have the information, we have to make our own minds up as to how much we return to normal or wait a few weeks for people to get it and recover before normalisation.

Suspect it would be when there's proper anti virals knocking about

Compared to vaccines there's been hardly any news on those though.

Vaccination rates have dropped alarmingly the past weeks. Supply problems I suspect rather than people refusing ??

No don't think so it's demand rather than supply that's limiting.

virtually everyone who wants a first dose will have had one by the end of next week.

Then the 2nd dose roll out goes at the pace of the first dose but lagged 8 weeks

So they reckon it will reach 100k cases a day, in which case have they got the staff at test and trace to contact all those 5 or 6 contacts (min). If they have, it will be another lockdown in all but name.

For those who are vulnerable or anxious about others without masks, could they buy the ones mentioned on the BBC? Are they available to buy?

The quality of face masks healthcare workers wear makes a huge difference to their risk of coronavirus infection, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust research has found.
Wearing a high grade mask known as an FFP3 can provide up to 100% protection.
I have one of those and wear it in supermarkets and on public transport
