Cases in the Netherlands down to 8,932. Always difficult to interpret Monday’s figures, but it does seem to be plateauing. Took about a week after restrictions were lifted for things to take off, then nightclubs were closed again, and then about a week after that things started to level off. Probably rocket up again tomorrow.

Stopped in the East Markham McDonalds for my daily 99p black coffee. Quite a shock to not have the lady enforcing sanitation, sign-in and face masks. That said, everyone seemed to be wearing masks while ordering and moving, which was pleasing to see. Tesco felt exactly the same too.

I'm heading across to Liverpool to visit loads of pubs so be interesting to see what the Scouse are doing with their "freedom".

ENGLAND HOSPITAL DEATHS

SATURDAY 29 with 16 NW - last week was 22 with 8 - week before 20 with 7 NW

SUNDAY 10 with 4 NW - last week was 20 with 10 - week before 3 with 1 NW

TODAY 11 with 6 NW - last week 4 with 2 - week before 1 with 0 NW


So total this 3 day weekend 50 - with 26 of them in the NW.

Last week it was 46 with 20 of them in NW

Wk before it was 24 with 8 of them in the NW.

Rising noticeably but not as yet out of control. But the other regions are yet to be at the point were their deaths head into NW territory.

This is why we will likely see a 100 a day number in coming weeks as these other regions do, By which point we can hope the NW is falling.

NW is one of the biggest regions so the impact of the others combined will not all be as great.

Picking up Covid will be the last of your worries in Liverpool.
 
Dizziness today’s random covid symptom for me, can only assume it’s related to the earache I’ve had, just feel light headed and wobbly.
