A surprise

19 all settings deaths

39, 950 cases. Did not expect that fall even on a Monday.

Testing is over a million too - the highest of the past 3 days. So positivity will have fallen a lot.
Far be it from me to suggest it's good to have a low number today....

But I'm just a little bit of a cynic.

England hospital data is good too.

The last 3 days have been quite flat.

Admissions for Thur/Fri/Sat are 658 / 593 / 622

And the NORTH WEST admissions fell below 100 in latest number for first time in 2 weeks. On 98.

It also had THREE other regions ahead of it with more admissions not 2 as most of last week. NE & Yorkshire (141), Midlands (116) and now also London (100)

England patients up 446 over the weekend to 3813 - most of that today - Monday up 267 V 234 up last Monday. Monday is always a big day so this is good too given the rise of several other regions as the NW was falling,

North West is now NOT the region with the most patients, It rose by only 6 over the weekend to 800.

This is by far the lowest of all regions - whereas the NE & Yorkshire rose by 118 to 850 and London and Midlands closing in on catching the NW too.

Week to week NW up just 62. Midlands and NE & Yorkshire both up by far more - well over 200 week to week in each area,

Ventilators numbers also show for the first time in months the NW no longer is the highest. It was mlies ahead of the rest a week or two ago.

Now London has overtaken it as the NW rose by just 1 over the 4 days of the weekend.

Total England Ventilator rise over the weekend was 31 (just 1 in the NW as noted) - it was 43 last weekend and 33 the weekend before.

Mines gone into my ears which keep popping and I keep going back to bed. A sleep relieves things for a short while. Noises are irritating me. Strangest of all, I sprained my wrist 2 weeks ago and whenever I feel like shit it hurts more. I can’t swear it’s connected but it seems to be. 2 weeks in and the virus feels like a clamp over my brain.

Im absolutely fucking sick of it.
You’ve had it far worse than me mate, mine are minor whinges in relation to how you sound. I’ve been trying not to go back to bed hoping it means I sleep better later with it being so hot. I’ve barely moved from my armchair though today, dull as fuck.

Last sentence not true. I had it. I would say ‘mild cold symptons’. Though i know people who have been bed ridden with it.
Like these people who say they are ‘full of flu’. No they aint. Flu consigns you to bed
Not with you there? Think you’ve misunderstood my post. It’s been quite mild for me too, I was saying that imo you know it’s covid you’ve got and not a cold etc.

Nightclubs for fully vaccinated only from end of September - Zahawi

Zahawi has announced that people will be required to be fully vaccinated to attend "large crowded settings" such as nightclubs from the end of September - after all over-18s have had the chance to receive both vaccine doses and develop immunity.
"So at that point we plan to make full vaccination a condition of entry to nightclubs and other venues where large crowds gather, proof of a negative test will no longer be sufficient," he said.
"We will ensure the appropriate exemptions for those who have genuine medical reasons of why they can't get vaccinated and I'm clear we will always look at the evidence available and do all we can to ensure people can continue to do the things they love."
