Just got back from Asda about 60/40 wearing masks. As others have said on here those who don't definitely meet the person spec.

just tried Tesco Irlam and it was mostly masked up. Probably same levels as during lockdown.

Now this may be a daft question, I have had my 2 AZ jabs but in a attempt to be allowed in to the US could I get, for example, a couple of the Pfizer jabs and how could this effect me as I have already had the AZ jabs ?

Not a daft question but I don’t think anyone could give you a definitive answer, the obvious answer is no you won’t be able to get any more vaccinations as yet, but as to if there is a way to circumnavigate the system then who knows.

My first jab for example was from the batch brought in from India, at some point that might bite me on the arse and I’ll need a different jab, for now though I’m not that bothered.

Canada has been mix and matching jabs throughout so hopefully you would be fine. Just super dooper immune!!

You won’t get Pfizer on the NHS now you’ve been jabbed and you can’t get it privately.

Tesco Atherton was 30/70 this afternoon but it did have a lot of workmen popping in for a sandwich and none of them had masks on

Yes, same here. A couple of weeks of false alarms and 'pings' which heralded the start of previous waves, more positive tests among my workforce than any previous time and I was cast back in to the hellish pit of home schooling last week too. All anecdotal obviously from my little corner of the world, but this doesn't feel like a success.

Over a million kids off school last week, mine included! Nuts. This is going to have a huge knock on effect for the younger age groups in particular. Some kids at the end of year one in primary have missed months of schooling.

As I've said The, the plan is to infect the youth and get them immune as 20% won't have jabs. Possibly to also go for herd immunity now and not get 3 times the deaths and more infections in the winter months

If that's the plan why insist that it's "crucial" to self-isolate when pinged by that app?

Just careful media management, they know people by the droves are deleting the app, especially the younger groups.

Not sure how they can hold the government or Boris to account? They’ve only had one chance to do so in the general election and the next one is not for another three years.

The 2019 election was a no brainer to the general public, Brexit was still up in the air and they were the party who promised to get it done, the alternative was also Corbyn.

Boris and this government are done thanks to the shitshow that has been their pathetic handling of this pandemic, if there was an election next week they would be out and Starmer would be in by default. My fear is that three years is a long time and all of this could potentially be “forgotten” which would be a tradegy.

I wouldn’t underestimate the feeling of the general public away from forums like this or the echo chambers on social media, there are a lot of unhappy people with Boris and co who have supported them previously.

Not being a Tory but not being blind either I'd say if there was a general election tomorrow they'd walk straight back into power for another 5 years. but there again this is the wrong thread the political forums one up. :-)
