90 percent plus of people have a degree of immunity either through vaccine or natural antibodies. I think we will see a dramatic fall in cases over the next month and then we are there.

We can hope. But if we were on the brink of an immunity mediated fall, we almost certainly wouldn't have seen such constant exponential growth for weeks.

So if fall it is, it'll likely be behaviour driven - schools out being the biggest reason to believe.

I’m the eternal optimist, but you’re talking shit and trolling and you are well aware you are too.

The post you quoted originally showed absolutely nothing to back up your claim.

I sincerely hope we’ve peaked, but considering the experts reckon we will top 100k cases then I’ll reserve judgement for now.
Death numbers start to rise as case numbers fall and have throughout.

Cases across the regions:

BUT THE BIG NEWS LONDON STILL ABOVE NORTH WEST EVEN WITH THE BIG FALL

South East DOWN 1178 to 5194 V 4650- ANOTHER BIG COURSE CORRECTION

South West DOWN 726 to 3533 V 3346

MIDLANDS

East UP 68 to 3315 V 3126

West UP 373 to 4082 V 3787

BACK TO NORMAL NUMBERS HERE UNLIKE THE SOUTHERN ONES WHICH MUST HAVE BEEN SOME KIND OF GLITCH OVER PAST DAY OR TWO.HOPEFULLY CORRECTED.

COMBINING THESE TWO INTO ONE AS THE NHS DOES TOTALS 7397 - SECOND LARGEST

NORTH

North East DOWN 164 to 2837 V 3447 - a fall week to week for second day running.

Yorkshire UP 774 to 4804 V 4653 Very flat week to week

NE & YORKSHIRE as Zoe and the NHS combines these two for the hospital data and this is now the biggest area with 7641 cases.

AND

NORTH WEST UP 264 to 5322 V 6203

Even after the readjustments London has more cases than the NW again today.

Past weeks NW numbers are 6203 - 6212 - 7256 - 7424 - 6962 - 5176 - 5058 - 5322

Equivalent NW numbers a week earlier 4950 - 5203 - 6487 - 4758 - 4231 - 4769 - 4931 - 6203

GM numbers in past week 2483 - 2715 - 2968 - 3088 - 2972 - 2147 - 2004 - 2322

Total in GM from the NW cases Total - 43.6% - UP big from 39.6% yesterday and 40.0% a week ago.

After a great day yesterday a pretty poor day for GM within the NW who had an OK but with GM numbers worse than the region day to day and week to week.

The cases are up and down all over the country right now.

I hope you are right but I fear that they may yet rise again in the next two weeks before coming down, so at the end of August things might be on an even keel.

Full GM details

Total cases 2322 - UP 318 on Yesterday - when the whole NW was up by just 264

Obviously rising by more than the entire region is NOT good news for GM today.

Wk to wk DOWN 161 when the NW is DOWN by 881.

Again well under the expected share of the big weekly fall bumping up the GM % of the NW.

THOUGH CASE NUMBERS ALL OVER THE UK SEEM TO BE RESEMBLING A YO-YO POSSIBLY LATERAL FLOW TESTS THAT GET COUNTED AND THEN DISCOUNTED THOUGH THAT IS JUST A GUESS

BOROUGH / CASES TODAY / V YESTERDAY / V LAST WEEK

BOLTON 203 / UP 37 / UP 27

BURY 148 / UP 30 / DOWN 8

MANCHESTER 343 / UP 2 / DOWN 103

OLDHAM 221 / UP 11 / DOWN 43

Up and down today - some good, some bad. Not as good as yesterday for many but better for some,

Stockport down day to day and week to week is a first in a while,

Greek government is pressing ahead with its drive to have its health sector employees vaccinated. Currently, only 90% of doctors and 73% of nurses are vaccinated. If the new legislation is passed, then, as of August 16th, unvaccinated staff will be placed on indefinite unpaid leave, during which time they will also lose their social security. Ώπα!
