This was 'retweeted' by Eran Segal who has been the go to on Israel data since the turn of the year. It doesn't sound good, praying it's maybe not quite so bad as it reads?

Very short thread if you click the link. Waning immunity from vaccines already?

It looks like the reason for this is because of the impact of the Delta variant in Israel. The original data related to the Alpha variant. Moving forward they should be able to sort this, unless an even stronger mutation happens.

We won as we are the only ones with no restrictions. Look at Holland, tried beating us to it but had only 40% or so vaccinated, backfired massively. All looking good over here thanks to early decisions made on vaccines. Imagine the mess with delta if we had started as slow as our European friends? Definitely still have some restrictions.

single dose they are at about 70%.
double dose about 40%

but they are including 12+ where as our figures are 18+. If you adjusted ours to include 12+ we’re probably not that far ahead at all. When you include everyone in the UK we are at under 70% 1st dose. 55% double.

That sort of assumes that the vaccine is a good thing for 12 to 17 year olds.

Long term I wouldn’t worry about vaccine availability even if the whole world needs two every year. The pharmaceutical industry will just build new facilities and ramp up production and make a fortune in the process. Best advice is buy some shares in a fund that focuses on pharma.
Better than my Rolls Royce Shares, down 6.6% now after rallying a few months ago :-(
