There's now MORE hospital admissions with COVID in the age group (25-44) younger than my age group(45-54)! Not positive tests...HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS!

Cases across the regions:

Change in last 24 hrs V seven days ago

SOUTH

East DOWN 543 to 3180 V 3921

London DOWN 1320 to 4463 V 5743 -

London down now over 2600 in just 48 hours.

South East DOWN 158 to 5036 V 5890

South West UP 244 to 3777 V 4426

As you see the southern regions are why the cases have fallen a lot. Not so much up north.

Though most places are down.

MIDLANDS

East down 560 to 2755 V 3204

West down 640 to 3542 V 5220

Another set of big falls and as in the south most places welk below last week for the first time in weeks.

COMBINING THESE TWO INTO ONE AS THE NHS DOES TOTALS 6297 - SECOND LARGEST

NORTH

North East DOWN 306 to 2531 V 3697 - another big fall week to week for third day running.

Yorkshire DOWN 545 to 4259 V 5334 - again a big drop week to week

NE & YORKSHIRE as Zoe and the NHS combines these two for the hospital data and this is now the biggest area with 6790 cases.

AND

NORTH WEST UP 278 to 5600 V 6212

Given all the falls today a RISE in the NW was not expected. Second day running too bucking the national trend.

Not out of this yet.

Past weeks NW numbers are 6212 - 7256 - 7424 - 6962 - 5176 - 5058 - 5322 - 5600

Equivalent NW numbers a week earlier 5203 - 6487 - 4758 - 4231 - 4769 - 4931 - 6203 - 6212

The last four numbers wk to wk above versus the earlier ones show the recent change however,

GM numbers in past week 2715 - 2968 - 3088 - 2972 - 2147 - 2004 - 2322 - 2258

Total in GM from the NW cases Total - 40.3% - DOWN big from 43.6% yesterday and 43.7% a week ago.

Better day for GM today

Full GM details

Total cases 2258 - DOWN 64 on Yesterday - when the whole NW was UP by 278

Obviously falling when the entire region goes UP is good news for GM today.

Wk to wk DOWN 457 when the NW is DOWN by 612 - well over the expected GM share of the fall.

BOROUGH / CASES TODAY / V YESTERDAY / V LAST WEEK

BOLTON 177 / DOWN 26 / DOWN 31

BURY 143 / DOWN 5 / DOWN 52

MANCHESTER 432 / UP 89 / DOWN 32

OLDHAM 234 / UP 13 / DOWN 76

ROCHDALE 166 / DOWN 48 / DOWN 67

TAMESIDE 181 / DOWN 44 / DOWN 16

TRAFFORD 172 / DOWN 9 / DOWN 37

WIGAN 285 / DOWN 31 / DOWN 98

Up and down today - some good, some bad. Not as good as yesterday for many but better for some,

Stockport had the worst of today up quite a bit on day and barely down in the week when others fell a lot.

Was 200 behind Wigan last week - today just 44.

Manchester up even more on day but better week to week.

Other than that pretty good day in GM.

GM Weekly Pop Data after today:~

Borough / Pop Today / 7 days ago / up or down wk to wk/ Testing is % of local population who have tested positive for Covid over past year.

As ever with Pop going up is bad, going down good - the higher the number the better or worse depending on direction moving. The Pop is total cases in past week versus 100,000 POPulation to even out the comparison versus size and expected cases based on numbers living there.

Wigan 776 / 639 / UP 137 Testing positive 12.4 %

Oldham 744 / 694 / UP 82 Testing positive 13.1%

Bolton 507 / 396 / UP 111 Testing positive 12.9%

Very good day for everyone but Stockport, who went up the table and were the only one of the 10 boroughs NOT to reduce their Pop Score today. Though they did stay the same at least.

The first time NO GM borough has risen on a day in two months.

Moreover BOTH Trafford and Rochdale did enough today and recently to FALL week to week in their Pop Scores.

The start - hopefully - of the big turnaround.

Ironically ITV just announced on the news - from the 5 day old data - that Wigan's Pop Score is now in the 800s - on the day it fell out of there!

Which they will not see until next week

Stockport up by 83 to 9803 - beaten well by Trafford up 72 - to reach 9915 . So Stockport's lead drops by 11 to 112.

Trafford will still exit the 9000 club in the next 48 hours and barring a disaster by Stockport it will now still be last borough standing there.

For just a couple of days.

By Monday GM will be 5 figures only,

Bolton up 62 to 12, 949 - likely to join the majority of GM in the 13 K club tomorrow. Lowest rise ofthe day in Bolton is good news here too.

Manchester up 78 - to 13, 134

Rochdale up 75 onto 12, 868.

But Oldham up 99 - the highest today but just avoiding a ton - -to reach 13, 099.

Salford also high at 88 to go onto 12, 602.

Bury up 75 - to 12, 108 .

Tameside up by 80 today to 10, 947. Likely be in the 11K club tomorrow.

Wigan much better than of late on 87 to 12, 380.

And writing a book is quick?
Depends how you use you spare time, many people write boooks in their spare time, instead of spending their time on football forums maybe, besides deflecting to who tweeted it and how they spend their time rather than commenting on the hopeful content sounds a bit weird.
