Well thank goodness that's over and done with.

For those that haven't had it yet......I only started to get better on about day 8 of 10. Although I felt better in myself, I then broke out into a chicken pox/shingles type rash which affected me from the waist down. Boy that was as itchy as anything I've ever had and then like a miracle on day 10 the rash was gone and I felt normal again with the sense of smell and taste returning. Hope I never have to go through that again that's for sure.

NORTHERN IRELAND PAST 7 DAY CASES BY AGE:

44.5% are aged 19 and under

2.3% are aged 80 and over & 10.4% for ALL aged 60 and over.

ENGLAND HOSPITAL DEATHS

THE GOOD NEWS CONTINUES

Tuesday is always the day when weekend catch up is highest with deaths.

141 with 16 North West - last week was 174 with 32 NW & week before 142 with 20 NW.

So down by 1 even on two weeks ago and by some margin on last week.

Most days this week versus last week at the same point are down in numbers too.

Good chance the weekly deaths in England will fall for the second successive week

Details I expect the media to entirely miss when stressing the number today

ENGLAND HOSPITAL DEATHS

BY REGION: 141

East 7, London 26, Midlands 29, NE & Yorkshire 39, North West 16, South East 12, South West 12

11 in London and 8 in Sunderland were the most.

NW Trusts:- 3 each in Bolton & Wigan, 2 each in East Lancashire, North Lancashire & Manchester and 1 each in Blackpool, MId Cheshire, Morecambe & Warrington

BY AGE:

0 - 19 (1), 20 - 39 (3), 40 - 59 (13), 60 - 79 (56) , 80 PLUS (68)

So the total deaths with out of hospital England to come are today 167

Last week at this point it was 203.

When all settings were added for England that remained at 203. All settings was 0 last week

And the total cases for the three natons with England to add are 5718

Last week at this stage the number was 6591.

UK deaths today 167 - no England out of hospital add on as last week

So down from 203 last Tuesday & 185 the Tuesday before & 209 the Tuesday before that.

In fact today is the lowest Tuesday death number since 10 AUG

Cases 34, 526 - down 3434 on yesterday (37, 960)

Versus last week 31, 564 - up 2962

England cases today 28, 808 - down 521 on yesterday

Versus last week 24, 973 - up 3835

England as you see is going up and the other 3 nations now falling.

Which is probably to be expected given the school return differences.

An itchy rash below the Waist you say?

yep, good idea to tell the wife it’s COVID related.

GM & NW HIGHLIGHTS

Unfortunately NOT a good day again for GM much as the Zoe numbers suggest.

Cases are falling faster in other parts of the region - such as Merseyside and Lancashire - and rising in GM.

Probably don't need two guesses as to who had the worst day.

Though not alone - but - yes - Stockport after a couple of hopeful falls had a big rise again today and was over 200 on 225 - up 46 week to week to shoot up well ahead of the rest and into the 500 club for the first time ever in the borough. You cannot spin this any way but bad,

This was usually the point where places were considered to need to be on a watch list for problem areas. Though the mininising of the significance of actual case numers might have ended that strategy.

School related or not as these cases may be I am still suprised it has gone 2 weeks without the media taking the chance to big up these numbers as the 500 club has loomed for a week now and seemed inevitable. Stockport's numbers are the worst by far they have ever been.

As Zoe has spotted Wigan has started to rise again too - it had 173 - 20 more than Manchester's 153 but both of them are up week to week by 34 and 21 respectively.

In fact only Rochdale lowest scorers again on 55 (Zoe are MILES off with Rochdale numbers for some reason having it worst in GM) - and Tameside - fell by 6 - actually were not up week to week today.

That is signifcant as the North West performed much better today as a region as Zoe predicted rightly.

GM was up 86 today to 1241 - when the NW as a region rose by 148 to 3427. That is a bit above par.

Week to week though it was worse - always more important as daily numbers fluctuate and weekly trends are more relevant.

NW actually FELL by 92 from 3519. But GM was UP by 133 from 1108.

There is no way to sell that as anything but GM having a clearly worse set of data than the region.
